In honor of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, we’re hosting a FREE Parkinson’s event to introduce the SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program—a research-based approach designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s strengthen their voice, speech, and confidence.

We love these toys to promote early language development!

We love looking into ✨mirrors✨ for facial expressions and motor imitation

We love talking and singing with our ✨singing flower✨

We’re learning cause and effect by pushing, turning, and popping with our ✨activity cube✨ and ✨pop up✨ toys

We’re practicing on and off with our ✨stacking rings✨ and in and out with our ✨shape sorter✨

And of course, we ALWAYS have books out!

Your speech therapy session doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective! Prioritizing connection and engaging in preferred activities makes all the difference🤗

This friend is currently nonspeaking, but working hard to communicate in ALL ways! In this session, we took turns using toy dinosaurs to jump up and down our bodies while using spoken words, gestures, signs, and a communication device. We had the best time playing together while learning new words!

When your kids are no longer kids (sad!), the “therapy” usually changes from “first words” to “first jobs” or “first dates.”

Here’s what speech therapy looks like when the goal is independence:

🗣️ Navigating Tech - Mastering devices for social media, texting, or emails.
🗣️Social Nuance - Understanding sarcasm, “unspoken” rules, and building genuine friendships.
🗣️ Reading & Writing - Improving literacy for every day tasks like texting, emails, college, and work

Cognition & “Adulting!” Executive functioning is the essential ingredient to independence. We help with:

🧠 Planning & Time Management - Using tools to manage a schedule and plan for the future.
🧠 Problem Solving - What do I do if I miss the bus or lose my wallet?
🧠 Transition Planning - Planning for life after graduation; college, work, day programs?
🧠 Money Skills - Handling transactions and basic budgeting during a grocery run.
🧠 Other Life Skills - Learning how to use public transportation, cooking, cleaning, and more!

Eating! Feeding goals don’t have an expiration date! We focus on:
