Centering joy in the midst of injustice can feel like an impossible task. But, this , we’re here to remind you that celebrating and amplifying Black joy is not only good for your mental health, but is vital to healing from trauma caused by racism and oppression.
So, sing and dance whenever you feel like it. Delight in the things that bring you unbridled joy without shame. Spend time with your community, whether that’s your family (chosen or biological), friends, church, or other safe community space.
You deserve to feel joy. 💛
