We are so thankful for this very generous donation we received this week from New Hope Baptist Church in Lottsburg!

One of the most beautiful things of what we do here is seeing the community come together. This isn't about The Mother's Heart. We're just one piece in the larger picture of many people working together to serve and love babies and their families in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.

We truly could not do what we do without our volunteers.

Every encouraging conversation, every organized donation, every family we serve is impacted by someone who chose to give their time and heart to this ministry. We are so grateful for each one already serving.

Right now, our in-office volunteer needs are ongoing, helping with tasks like organizing supplies, preparing resources for families, and creating a welcoming space for those who walk through our doors.

And with spring just around the corner, we’ll be participating in more events and outreach opportunities — which means we’ll need even more helping hands!

Some days, loving our families feels easy. Other days, it looks like trying again after we’ve lost patience…speaking a kinder word after a long afternoon…or choosing grace when everyone is tired (including ourselves).

Love isn't a feeling, it's a choice.
Motherhood isn’t about being perfect; it’s about showing up, even on the hard days, and loving through the mess, the noise, the stress, and the imperfections.

If today feels like a lot, take a deep breath. You are still doing meaningful work. Love is being built in these ordinary, imperfect moments too.

Give yourself and your children grace in the hard moments. 🩷
