Cost of Mental Health Care

At Vagary Health we have chosen to do things differently and offer more options for your care!

•First time appointments are $200 and the evaluation will be an hour long!

For follow up appointments you may choose between two different options:

•A La Carte Appointments: $100 per appointment and this includes:
-One 30 minute appointment, over the phone or in person
-Medications being sent (sent to the pharmacy of your choosing)
-You will have to be seen every 3 months to get more refills on medication

•Memberships: $70 per month or $140 per month for a family plan and this includes:
-TWO 30 minute appointments for the month, over the phone or in person
-Medications being sent (sent to the pharmacy of your choosing)
-You will have to be seen every 6 months to get more refills on medications

Let’s talk about Binge Eating Disorder.

What is Binge Eating Disorder? Binge Eating Disorder (or BED) is characterized by recurrent binge eating episodes (eating a larger amount than others would within the same timeframe) during which a person feels a loss of control. Unlike Bullimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Episodes are not followed by purging, excessive exercising or fasting. Almost everyone overeats on occasion when eating something we really enjoy. For some people, excessive eating that feels out of control and becomes a regular occurrence crosses the line of BED.

Half the risk of developing Binge Eating Disorder is genetic.

9% of the U.S population or 28.8 million Americans will have an eating disorder in their lifetime.

Less than 6% of people with eating disorders are medically diagnosed.

Why is Binge Eating Disorder a big part of Mental Health? According to the National Institute of Mental Health:

65.1% of BED patients also have Anxiety Disorder

46.4% of BED patients also have Major Depression Disorder

43.3% of BED patients also have Impulsive Control Disorder

23.3% BED patient also have Substance Abuse Disorder

Your mental health matters

Let me introduce myself, my name is Rhonda Hoskins. I am a family nurse practitioner practicing since 2009. Prior to this I was an RN in all areas from CCU to Long Term Care, but settled in Psych Mental Health Care. My heart has always been with mental health treatment. I made the decision to try a new way, way different from services you may have already had experience with and ideas that I hope, will allow someone to become invested in their treatment again. Let me just say the first difference is 30 minute appointment and this is something I am very exited about!
