Women are often told that going every 2 to 3 days is "normal" but normal doesn't always mean ideal- and it certainly doesn't mean healthy!

When you understand how hydration, minerals, fiber, movement and your microbiome work together, constipation becomes something you can actually change -- not something you just live with.

The Overlooked Connection As women enter menopause, the conversation often centers around hot flashes, night sweats, or changes in mood. But one of the most powerful shifts happens quietly—in the gut. Declining estrogen levels can alter the gut microbiome, digestive function, and even how our immune system responds. These changes not only affect daily comfort (think bloating, constipation, or IBS-like symptoms) but can also play a role in the long-term risk for chronic disease, including diabetes and cancer....

Why Pelvic Health?

It’s a question I get asked all the time...“What ever made you want to do this for your job?”

As a women's health advocate for over 30 years, I truly believe I was born to do this work, it’s not a job. I have had the honor of helping women of all ages from me**es to menopause and beyond manage their pelvic health, recover from childbirth or surgery and regain bladder/bowel control while they get back to their optimal level of fitness/function. My obsession with women's health began when I taught my first exercise class for women at 18 years old. Years later, during my 1st pregnancy, I experienced my own pelvic health issues. Back then, it felt like I was navigating a stormy ocean with a tiny sailboat for one, completely alone with no one really knowing how to help. It took over 2 years to recover fully. With my second baby, childbirth was not so good to my pelvic floor. I realized that I was in the same boat with an even more difficult recovery ahead. Gratefully, I learned about women's physical therapy and how to restore my pelvic floor, it took some time but I became whole again. Immediately, I vowed to advocate for pelvic health and eventually I became a board certified women's health physical therapist

Too often I hear women say “why don’t we learn about this sooner in life” or “no one ever told me that this could happen“. It is time we center meaningful education and collaborative prevention around women and their unique health needs.

Full Circle Pelvic Health is part of my mission to improve women’s health, maternal care, and to prepare women for their best journey to menopause.
