Friday was National Oreo Cookie Day! 🍪🎉

We of course enjoyed some delicious Oreos — and as you can see, there are many different ways to enjoy an Oreo! Some people twist off the top and eat the filling 😋, some enjoy it while reading the newspaper 📰, some take bites of the cookie sandwich, and others just pop the whole cookie in their mouths. However you eat it, it’s always a sweet treat!

It was a very "cheesy" day around here yesterday! We played "Cheese Ball Shower" with the residents! Some of them enjoyed eating the cheese balls more than throwing them, but it was a delicious time either way. They have now requested we put this on the calendar once a month.

Please send pet photos!

We have a very talented artist here at West Shore Health Center who loves spending her days sketching pets that belong to staff and visitors. 🐾 She has run out of furry friends to draw and would love more photos to turn into beautiful 8x10 sketches, completely free of charge.

If you would like her to sketch your pet for free, please email your photo to Activities.wshc@hcltdri.com.

We will let you know when your artwork is ready to be picked up at the facility. Here are just a few of the wonderful sketches she has already created. 💛

We couldn't let National Muffin Day pass us by last Friday so we did "Muffins & a Movie" to celebrate the delicious day! Staff and resident's were able to enjoy some yummy muffins from My Favorite Muffin, a local business.🧁

We celebrated Mardi Gras this year by making our own masks and throwing a little Mardi Party!

The masks came out amazing! The colors are so vibrant. The decorations are fun, and well we all know that EVERYTHING is better with a little glitter!

This month marked 100 years young for Miss Shirley! She was surrounded by her family and friends. As always, Mayor Picozzi stopped by to mark this very special occasion for her! Her only request was chocolate cake with blue frosting flowers. Her grandson gave a touching and thoughtful speech to honor her.
