Race week is officially here.

After months of consistent training, early mornings, long runs, and purposeful strength work, Dr. McAteer has completed her D***y Challenge 2026 training. The work is done. The hay is in the barn. Now it is about trusting the process and enjoying the moment.

Today’s final tune-up was an easy 6-mile run, all in Zone 2 at a comfortable, conversational pace. No pressure. No forcing fitness. Just relaxed movement, steady breathing, and confidence built on the miles already completed. Exactly how race week should feel.

Her mindset heading into this week is calm, focused, and grateful. The goal now is simple: stay healthy, stay present, and let the training carry her forward. Beginning Thursday with the 5K and ending next Sunday with the marathon, four days of running at Walt Disney World await.
