NOT KNOWING = REASONABLE

I was inspired to make this video after hearing several times in a row about women, “knowing what to do”, in order to create the change, they desire but still somehow not having what they desire. 😣

If you fall into this category, this might be a great listen.

Kettlebells and Fasting

Tools and skills.

You could pick up a kettlebell and use it in some form or fashion and get some benefit.

You could also pick up a kettlebell, try to use it as intended, and end up having a negative experience — or even getting hurt in the process.

To use kettlebells properly, you have to be taught or study the technique. And then to become truly proficient, you need practice and possibly guidance.

Once you become skillful, you can really take advantage of everything they offer:

∙ Functional training
∙ Full body strength and conditioning
∙ More power and speed — in workouts or sport
∙ Better balance
∙ Better proprioception (your body’s awareness of itself in space)

They rock!

Much like fasting.

Fasting is a useful and powerful tool in and of itself.

The fastest way to lose weight is to not eat 😉.

And one of the most effective ways to stimulate autophagy (your cells breaking down and recycling damaged components),

or apoptosis (selective programmed cell death - essential for eliminating aged, infected, or cancerous cells and ensuring proper organismal development)

is to go for many hours without eating.

So if you do that, those things will happen.

However, if your body isn’t already running on fat, the transition from burning sugar to burning fat can be pretty rough.

Low energy. Headaches. Brain fog. Weakness. Extreme hunger. Carb cravings. Irritability. FOOD NOISE.

Which often leads people to buckle, say F it, and lunge toward the least supportive options for weight loss or health. 🍪🍕😣

Fat Adaptation Prowess

I recently listened to an interview on Diary of a CEO that perfectly exemplify what being in a Fat Burning mode can actually do.

The physician that was being interviewed shared how her approach helped to reverse serious illness - diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart disease - and prevent them going forward.

What I loved most was that she mapped out Fat Burning as a SKILL - one that deepens over time and requires conditioning to progress.

This is the same continuum we go through in Fat Burning PRO.

What was so exciting to me was seeing that even without going full keto (carbs not as low) the same trajectory exists. There’s a natural order to this progression, and that it is indeed a deepening skill set that we must possess in order to keep moving forward.

What’s exciting additionally exciting is that Fat Burning Pro is NOT KETO.

We do not stick with rigid low amounts of carbs on typical days - and we deliberately have carb feasts with regularity.

Even with slightly more carbohydrates daily and regular influxes of more carbohydrates, we are still able to stay comfortably in this mode, continue progressing forward, and do longer fasts comfortably - which are a direct indicator of metabolic health.

Such a thrilling thing!

So if you’ve ever experimented with eating less carbohydrates, using intermittent fasting for weight loss or health, or been curious about slightly extended fasting – just know that you don’t need to do it in the overly rigid way that keto requires.

Never being able to have a bun on your burger, or having to figure out low carb alternatives to birthday cake or your favorite holiday dessert sounds like a pretty joyless existence to me.

BOOST BEGINS: 3/15 - 4/4

Excited for our latest round of the BOOST to be commencing today!

This is a three week program for established Fat Burners to either learn or practice the skill of slightly extended fasting.

Essentially, we fast for 36 to 48 hours cyclically over these three weeks.

We have a structure, use tools, and get clear on how we feel and what those signals might indicate that we need.

My greatest wishes for every Fat Burner is to learn this skill because it is such a useful technique to use at will when you want to amplify your results or offset mumbo-jumbo that you’d rather not have make an impact.



(It helped me to LOSE weight around my birthday when eating big meals & CAKE multiple days in a row.)

The most exciting thing is, we are all meant to do this.

FOOD = TOOL

I wanted to share this story of a lovely Fat Burner in her third week who wasn’t utilizing one of our tools (Bulletproof Coffee) as well as it could be.

When she shared how it was feeling challenging to get to a slightly later point in the day for her first meal I was confused.

At the three week mark a Fat Burner is basically experiencing 80% of the benefit of what this metabolic mode offers. She was clearly here so hunger should be less of an issue & eating twice a day should be no big thing.

I examined what was happening a bit more fully (as HOW is often more/as consequential than WHAT) & recognized that she simply wasn’t using her coffee for all it could offer.

So we changed that, & presto!

Less hunger, more comfort through the day, & greater ease w doing what was intended (eating twice).

When you’re situated to use dietary fat better, like in this example, & understand what the properties of the substances your consuming can actually do for you - it’s easier to use items more wisely & get more bang for your buck in your efforts.

I’m all for working smarter not harder, & thankfully weight loss (& health) via Fat Burning offers this in spades.
