HAPPY LABOR DAY!!

I hope everyone has an amazing day doing EXACTLY what feels BEST!

AND I’ll encourage you to invite a little love & sanity (Fat Burning style) into your plans.

While most Fat Burners will simply use a food forward holiday as a Carb Feast 💪🏽 @ times we deviate AND use a bit more strategy to make sure we don’t upset the apple cart.

TACTIC:

If you’re going to a party - don’t snack before the main meal. Have the sexy snacks WITH your main meal.

And when you do eat make a point to put protein, fiber (veggies), fat (cheese?), or acid (vinegar, lemon/lime juice) into your mouth FIRST for blood sugar regulation.

TRUTH:

Your body knows best. ALWAYS. Do you REALLY want ____ = have it. Did that cake actually NOT taste v delicious? STOP eating it. Are you FULL? Do you actually need a bit more chicken from the grill to prevent being hungry later? GOOD!

Honor your own signals & meet your needs NOW so you don’t have to try to make up for the fact that you didn’t later.

TEMPORARY:

This is ONE day! Let it be that. Enjoy yourself & know that by coloring outside of the lines TODAY continuing to do so for days following makes ZERO sense.

That is all!

ICED BULLETPROOF COFFEE

In case you’re accustomed to this glorious beverage but have yet to have it iced - you’re missing out.

PRO TIP:

Let coffee cool/come to room temperature, blend as usual, THEN add it to a vessel full of ice. 😍

This way the MCT oil stays distributed in rhe coffee & doesn’t bead up & have you drinking blobs of fat throughout the day. 🤪

Fat Burner’s Bulletproof (how I like it):

- 3 cups water

We pay for what we value & what we focus on grows.

I could probably stand to be stronger in other areas of my life 🤪 but HEALTH/my body has definitely been #1.

Why HAS or has NOT been the case for you as well?

TROUBLE IN PARADISE (w a happy ending)

Earlier last week E (70+) a newer Fat Burner was struggling.

Her body felt off.

Weight loss had stalled.

B/c Fat Burners are SO focused on their body’s signals (for every reason - what’s happening, what to do next) SHE was clear that she was not signaling FAT BURNING loud & clear.

E also shared how she was MISSING such things as:

- her homemade sourdough bread

- full fat goat’s milk & yogurt

I quickly spelled out as to HOW she could have these items she loves regularly/ALL the time strategically. 🙌

(I take DEPRIVATION seriously! We MUST have what we love deliberately, or else we will end up having it in a reactionary way = NO GOOD. So conversation & strategy tend to take care of that hurdle. 😮‍💨)

Then #2 was addressing what her body needed now, which was simply MORE.

Less food or MORE FOOD always isn’t necessarily the solution.

It DEPENDS.

And when you have someone looking @ you & knowing what to listen for & try…

BINGO!

What did I hear back after our adjustment?

Disbelief about another pound lost!

DRAGON BOAT FUNSTIVAL 🐉🤩

Well THIS weekend exceeded expectations!

And this FESTIVAL was unlike any other.

It was 💯 “Vermontified”. 🤪

music,
DRUM CORPS,
pre race ZUMBA 🙌,
toilet paper necklaced Porto Potty fairy,
OLDER FIT TAN BEAUTIFUL WOMEN 💃🏼💃💃🏻, butterfly wings,
flowers,
ART,
BEN & JERRY’S,
breweries w/in reach,
good food,
GREAT people,
breathtaking backdrop of Lake Champlain,
& generosity in racing (no DQ = race again!).

And then my personal travel crew 💃🏻🕺🏻😘 as well as TEAM was so delightful to spend DAYS & endless hours w working together for a common goal.

Our near miss w another team’s boat showcased our focused crew & more than capable steers (Chris Byron 🙏) for keeping us safe while literally not skipping a beat.

We won silver in B division (great racing + magical point system = thank you v much!).

Thank you for Gregg Cranshaw & Colleen Cranshaw for being the primary backbone of this team (plus all its supporting offshoots) while keeping track of us, on course, & having FUN while we do it.

Much love to Century Dragon Boat Club & all the warmth & delight you provide.

LOW CARB SHRIMP PAD THAI

This recipe was lost in my Great Hack of January 2025. 😣

It’s a great one & great to get these sexy noodles into your repertoire w. 😍

INGREDIENTS:

- 2 7-ounce packages shirataki fettuccini noodles

- 18 medium-size, wild-caught shrimp

- 2 eggs, beaten

- 1 ½ tablespoons Coconut Oil, divided

- 2 tablespoons coconut/Bragg’s aminos

- 1 lime, juiced and divided

- 1 teaspoon cashew/any nut butter

- 1 clove garlic, pressed or finely minced

- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper

- ¼ cup cilantro

- 2 green onions, chopped

- sea salt (to taste)

- 4 cashews/any nut, crushed (optional garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Prepare shirataki noodles according to package directions (rinse for 15 seconds, then drain the noodles and place them in a dry skillet (no oil) over medium heat and “dry roast” them for 1 minute). Set aside.

2. In a small bowl, mix ¾ tablespoon Coconut Oil, coconut aminos, ½ of the lime juice, cashew butter, garlic and crushed red pepper. Set aside.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add remaining ¾ tablespoon Coconut Oil, shrimp and a pinch of sea salt. Cook for approximately 1 ½ to 2 minutes each side.

4. Move the shrimp to the side of the skillet and add the beaten eggs to the open area of the skillet. Quickly cook the eggs to a soft scramble, about 1 minute.

5. Add shirataki noodles, sauce mixture, cilantro and green onions to skillet with shrimp and eggs. Toss everything together and mix well. Heat until warmed through.

6. To finish, drizzle the rest of the fresh lime juice over entire skillet, taste for seasoning and add sea salt and/or more crushed red pepper if desired. Garnish with optional crushed cashews and serve.

Serves: 3

Carbs: 5g
