FROZEN YOGURT BARK

This recipe is fabulous & sadly seems to have been misplaced in the great hacking of ‘25. 😭

I was wishing to share it w a lovely new Fat Burner who’s into more custard-like desserts, but maybe ice cream like might be up her alley too. 🤞

So here it is again!

Ingredients:

* 2 cups non fat plain Greek yogurt

* monkfruit (or sweetener of choice)

* 1 tbsp. chocolate chips

* ¼ cup berries

* 1 tsp. unsweetened shredded coconut

* 1 tbsp. slivered almonds

* (Lemon zest is also amazing here)

Instructions:

1. Combine the yogurt and sweetener (& lemon zest if using) in a medium-sized bowl and then stir in the chocolate chips

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the mixture on top. Then spread the mixture so it is approximately ½ inch thick.

3. Sprinkle the blueberries, coconut and sliced almonds on top.

4. Put the baking sheet in the freezer, and allow the yogurt mixture to freeze completely (should take a few hours).

5. Once frozen, you can cut the bark into desirably sized pieces and place them into separate bags or a combined container. Then place them back in the freezer so you can enjoy a frozen treat later!

6. Allow to thaw slightly before eating!

I only eat once a day, so what happens when dinner is @ 7pm? 🙃

I, like many Fat Burners, only eat once a day* (that’s a place we GET to, no one STARTS there), & I love it.

*ONCE FAT ADAPTED & completely comfortable

It’s so convenient. It saves time & mental energy. You get full & that’s it! Thank you so much.

But what happens when you have dinner plans @ SEVEN?! 😳

Especially for a person who’s used to eating SO much earlier in the day?

And getting all their needs met in one whopping meal? 😬

B/c I’m committed to not only making this work for the people I work w - but also for ME, I deliberately figured this out last week.

Dining out is in order of importance:

A) social

B ) fun

C) fuel

I think it’s super important to figure out WHAT the focus is really going to be, & based on that our choices should be made.

SO, b/c:

- socializing
- fun

Were really the focus of the outing - I made it about that!

And BECAUSE I WANTED TO, I ate TWICE this day! 🤪

And I did it so I could eat the bulk of my FUEL earlier in the day (better for our metabolism as well), & then eat something small & social later (my sexy ahi tuna poke bowl) when I was only needing a small amount of food.

Win win.

Amazing.

I didn’t want to come in like a maniac - which I might have waiting until that hour for me.

(Sometimes it can feel fine, & often for most Fat Burners it is.)

So I made the graceful & respectful choice for me to do most of what I always do, & deviate slightly to enable a fun dinner to happen later than when I typically eat.

ALL GOOD.

One thing I’ve reinforced lately for my Fat Burners is to BE DELIBERATE. (Comments)

There are laws in your body the same way there are laws in physics.

You can ignore gravity. You can also jump off a cliff convinced it won’t apply to you.

Same with metabolism.

When someone tells you to eat 1200 calories, cut carbs forever, or make sure you have 30g of protein within an hour of waking — the question isn’t does it sound logical.

The question is: does it work WITH your biology or against it?

After 40, the stakes get higher.

The margin for poor practices from incomplete information becomes smaller.

Your hormones shift. Your metabolism becomes less forgiving of approaches that fight it.

Understanding how your body actually works means you stop being a passenger on the fad diet carousel.

You start making decisions from knowledge, not hope.

WHEN THE STRUGGLE IS REAL 🏋️‍♀️

I had a strength training session last week where I wanted to quit @ LEAST four times.

I bargained with myself, I stalled, I jumped around on social media — and then I would come back.

What kept me going wasn’t willpower.

It was keeping the benefits in front of the decision I was making.

STRONGER. More able. More comfort. Less pain/injury. A shape I love. A better running machine for my hormones, metabolism, & LIFE.

Yes please!

When I focus on where I’m headed instead of how hard the moment feels, the resistance gets a little quieter.

But here’s the thing — sometimes the struggle goes deeper than a motivation problem.

If you’re over 40 and doing everything “right” and still not seeing results, that’s not a willpower gap.

That’s a knowledge gap.

Your body has literally changed the rules on you — and nobody handed you the new playbook.

Raise your hand if weight loss felt easier in your 30s than it does now. 🙋‍♀️

There’s a reason for that — and it’s not your willpower.

Truthfully after THIRTY 😱 certain hormones shift & start to decline.

But why our 40’s can feel like falling off a bit of a cliff is b/c:

A) a decline has actually been happening for some time

B ) that decline actually speeds up 🤦🏼‍♀️

C) estrogen’s sudden absence can impact weight in big ways

One thing I’ve seen is that our bodies don’t stop working, it’s just that the metabolic landscape has changed.

And w that - not only do we need to do things differently, but we actually need to help our bodies WORK differently.

I’m giving a talk this Tuesday to pull back the curtain on what’s actually going on — and what genuinely moves the needle.

This was a relevant focus on our group call for Fat Burners last week and I thought to expound on it.



In case you weren’t aware EVERYONE F’s Up.



I know I certainly do.



Sometimes I F Up when I’m trying to do the, “best”, version of something for myself.



Or sometimes I F Up deliberately - meaning I KNOW something would actually serve me better, but I choose to do something else simply because I wanted to in that moment (after having a Crossroad Negotiation of course).



HOWEVER one thing I wished to make clear on our call, was that when things are slightly less than ideal - but we’re doing our best, and the end result was practically what we intended...



That is NOT F’ing Up.



I dearly want to help women walk away from the more frequent assumption that THEY are F’ing UP more often than not when something isn’t 100% perfect.



No.



I desire to help Fat Burners feel like they are RIGHT.



That what they’re doing is GOOD.



That the slight modification they made to the original plan was BRILLIANT.



We MUST be on our own side if we want to stay in support of ourselves and especially when we’re aimed at consistently doing behaviors that are beneficial for ourselves.



And then lastly F’ing Up is part of SUCCEEDING!

EASE. 😳

Not white-knuckling it. Not obsessing over every bite. Not canceling birthday dinners.

Just…living. In a body that now works for her.

G is a busy professional sports mom of 3 that had been working HARD in the effort to create change before Fat Burning.

Here’s what she told me recently:

“You’d think I’d be used to the ease of this by now, but it still blows my mind that I can have this flexibility and STILL stay exactly where I want to be.”
