Our kids don’t need perfect parents. They need regulated ones.

Not the Pinterest version.
Not the always-patient version.
Not the never-mess-up version.

They need parents who can pause instead of react.
Who can slow the pace of the home.
Who choose connection over productivity.

Your nervous system sets the tone of the house. 🤍

Not every decision needs to be made today.

Urgency feels like rushing replies, pressure to decide fast, and constant background tension.

We call it productivity.
But often it’s just pressure.

I love planning. I love building.
But I won’t make decisions from stress anymore.

Lately I’ve been choosing regulated living instead:

Slow mornings.
Playing outside.
Leaving my phone behind for a bit.
Cooking meals from scratch.
Actually sitting down to eat.
Letting quiet exist in the day.

And you know what?
The decisions still come.
Clarity still comes.
Direction still comes.

Just without the panic.

If it’s creating anxiety, it’s not alignment.

God’s timing isn’t frantic.
What’s meant for you won’t fall apart because you waited.

02/17/2026

Lately I’ve been sitting with a really freeing realization.

A few weeks ago I was convinced I needed to keep pushing — hiring, scaling, chasing the next milestone.

And then my business coach reminded me of something simple:
I’m allowed to change my mind.

I’m living the life I once prayed and worked for.
And I don’t have to rush past it.

It’s okay to pause.
It’s okay to enjoy what you’ve built.
It’s okay to recover before chasing the next goal.

Life isn’t supposed to feel like a constant race.

Growth will still be there later. 🤍

This space is for those of us who are building lives that feel good in our bodies — not just on paper.

For those learning to slow down and listen inward.

For those choosing discernment over noise, wisdom over urgency, and depth over performance.

We’re not here to hustle for worth or perform for approval.

We’re here to live awake, regulated, and aligned — together.

This is a quiet invitation to slow down, pay attention, and stay awhile if it resonates.

Going forward, you’ll see:
• nervous-system-first living
• embodied faith
• honest motherhood
• strength — physical and emotional
• business ownership without burnout
• truth without fluff

This isn’t content for everyone.

But if it resonates — welcome.
We’re doing this awake.

I don’t have a loud, packaged version of faith.

Mine is quieter now.
Simpler.
Less performative.

I saw a phrase the other day that stuck with me:
“It’s not a religion, it’s a relationship.”

And the more I’ve leaned into that, the more my faith has changed.

Getting to know Jesus means actually spending time with Him —
reading the Word for myself,
listening,
and letting it shape my life instead of outsourcing my beliefs.

I believe God speaks clearly — especially when we stop drowning Him out.

And Jesus doesn’t require us to be small, scared, or disconnected from our bodies.

This is the faith I’m walking forward with.

Aligned & Awake isn’t about being spiritual enough, healed enough, or put-together enough.

It’s about being awake to what our bodies are telling us.
Being awake to what’s happening in the world — without letting every headline demand a reaction.

It’s about aligning our health choices with how God designed the body to work.
And aligning our lifestyles with your values.

It’s about choosing faith over fear.
Trusting God with the bigger picture, and trusting the wisdom He placed within us.

The world can be heavy and chaotic,
and it can also be heaven on earth.
What we experience depends a lot on where we place our attention.

It’s about simplifying.
Taking responsibility for your life.
And quitting the habit of making things harder than they need to be.

Less striving.
More trust.

This is what I’m committed to.

I stepped back because I realized I wasn’t actually resting — I was coping.

Scrolling. Checking. Absorbing.
I was bothered by what I was bothered about. Wondering why I cared about life events so much. When what I really needed was to sit with my feelings and let them move through me.

AND- The constant media storm is a lot for the human nervous system.
Complex issues reduced to headlines.
Pressure to pick sides when most things are far more gray than black and white.

To protect my peace, I shut it off.
I got present with my family.
I soaked up my daughter — because raising her with intention is how I create the change I want to see in the world.

And something interesting happened in the quiet…
I read again. Like BOOKS. for FUN
Turns out “I don’t have time to read” was just code for too many distractions. (Priorities)

A few good books, fewer opinions, and a lot of inward sorting later — I feel clearer.
Calmer.
More rooted.

The reminder I’m carrying forward:
You don’t have to process everything happening in the world to live a meaningful life. There’s been chaos in our world since the beginning- the lovely media just lets us know about it more and more now.

Sometimes the most radical thing you can do is log off, feel your feelings, and tend to what’s right in front of you.

That’s where alignment found me.

I took a quiet break from this space.
Not to disappear — but to listen.
To get clear. To get honest.

This pause wasn’t about algorithms or strategy.
It was about alignment.

I’m Mackenzie — mom, chiropractor, business owner, vitalism-obsessed, woman of faith… and someone who has spent the last decade unlearning, relearning, questioning, trusting, and coming back home to what actually matters.

Aligned & Awake is where all of that meets.
Not perfection. Not hustle.
Just clarity, natural living that honors the nervous system, grounded faith, and choosing a life that actually feels good to live.

From here on out, this space is personal.
Real life. Real growth. Real faith.
Less noise. More discernment.

If you’re here because you’re tired of over-complicating things — your body, your motherhood, your faith, or your calling — you’re in the right place.

I’m not here to have all the answers.
I’m here to walk it out, awake and aligned. 🤍

Blessed is an understatement. Motherhood is amazing. Entrepreneurship is wild. It’s hard to pick just a few pictures to recap the year. As I look back on the year I can help but smile and thank God for this beautiful life. 🥰 wishing everyone an abundant 2026 ☀️

Strong. Capable. Confident.
And doing it in a season where I was raising a tiny human, running a business that comes with growing pains nobody close to me really “gets,” and pretending my calendar wasn’t on fire. 📅🔥
These pics are my reminder that motherhood didn’t make me smaller — entrepreneurship didn’t break me — and God doesn’t hand out dreams you aren’t worthy of.
This life is gorgeous, and I get to live it. 😌💪🏼✨🙏🏼

11/01/2025

I’ve spent plenty of years chasing the wrong kind of “goal weight.”
But lately… my goals have nothing to do with shrinking my body — and everything to do with seeing what it can do. 💪🏼✨

This past month I hit two major goals i set a few months back
🏋🏼‍♀️ 150 # bench press
💥 315 # deadlift
…and I competed in my first CrossFit comp, 5 workouts deep, wanting to just experience it because I have not been able to yet. My incredibly randomly picked team ended up placing SECOND 🥈

I didn’t train crazy hours. I focused on rebuilding my core, protecting my pelvic floor, and moving from gratitude — not guilt.

There’s a confidence that comes from lifting that makes every ounce of body shame disappear.
It’s not about being smaller. It’s about being stronger.

To the moms out there: you still have that grit and fire — it’s just transformed into something even more beautiful. 🔥
Let’s raise a generation that doesn’t count numbers on the scale, but on the bar — and celebrates what our bodies can accomplish. ❤️
