Recently I attended a professional meeting to discuss the importance of emotional attunement and resonance in the counseling session. It reminded me of the goals for marriage counseling. I can't fix your marriage but I can help you hear one another by being a positive mediator and to teach resonance. Resonance is needed both in friendships, marriage and all relationships. It is defined as a deep recognition of truth, beauty or belonging. A feeling that deeply aligns with your inner self, values and or experiences. What would the world be like if we had more resonance with each other?

There's a clear distinction between teaching children self-care skills, household chores, and assuming the full responsibilities of a parent. Each of these areas requires different expectations and approaches.
