⭐ Fun Fact ⭐
Many people are surprised to learn that the bones of the adult skull are not completely fused together. Instead, they are joined by sutures—specialized connective tissue that allows for a small but important degree of movement. While this motion is very subtle (flexion, neutral, extension) it plays a key role in maintaining balance and function within the cranial system.
These gentle movements help accommodate changes in pressure, support circulation of cerebrospinal fluid, and allow the body to adapt and self-correct. Because the cranial bones are sutured (not fused), they can continue shifting, aligning, and balancing throughout life, which supports overall health and well-being.
