When would someone need occupational therapy?

Occupational Therapy helps you regain daily skills—ideal after injury, illness, or for kids with delays.

Examples in adults would be:
• Difficulty returning to work after an injury (hand, shoulder, back)
• Recovery after surgery (joint replacement, fractures, tendon repair)
• Stroke or neurological conditions affecting movement or memory
• Chronic pain limiting daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, driving)

Examples in kids:
• Delays in fine motor skills such as writing, cutting, tying shoes
• Difficulty buttons or zippers
• Sensory processing challenges (over/under reacting to sounds, touch, movement)
• Difficulty with focus, organization, or completing routines

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Samantha Landenberger, MS, OTR/L to our team at Focus clinic in Washburn. With a passion for making a positive impact in her community, Samantha brings over 7 years of experience as an accomplished occupational therapist.

She will provide expert care for patients of all ages, including specialized services for post-surgical shoulder and elbow patients, as well as treatment for wrist and hand conditions in adults. Samantha is also excited to offer pediatric services for newborns, toddlers, and adolescents.

Living in Underwood with her husband and two children, Samantha cherishes her family time and enjoys outdoor activities. Please help us welcome her to our team!
