Hello Facebook Community, i could truly use your help and support!
As some of you may have seen, i started a new journey to become a certified doula/perinatal health worker, (birth & pregnancy coach).
Since finishing my doula training I have supported one birth virtually, and just attended my first hospital birth. This journey is super rewarding but also a financially challenging transition.
As some of you may know but also might forget, i have some disabilities including low-vision, chronic pain, and neurogdivergence. The pandemic made me realize that given my disabilities, I couldnt healthfully go back to a traditional 9-5 because my body physically wouldnt let me. Anyone who really knows me, knows i try my hardest to give to others and create community. And im still trying my hardest to do that without compromising my body and mental health.
DC has some of the worst health outcomes for Black maternal/perinatal and infant mortality rates. For this reason I will be volunteering a portion of my doula services to support black birthing people and women at no cost to them. As i work on my certification, I have not charged for any of my services since October 2020, But i still have to pay my own rent, and buy food etc so I’m asking for your help! I will be launching my go fund me this week and i would love for you to share my journey with others and support my work. Also please follow my journey on ig and tiktok and my page Fractal Birth.
I will be advocating through my work to spread and share basic birth education as education for everyone like cpr training or any other public safety training because any of us could be in a situation where someone in the public goes into labor.
If you would like to begin supporting my work now cashapp $FeactalBirth, venmo

Thank you all in advance for your support, i think we could also use the inspiration of new life in these super challenging times
