We recently had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Patrick Murphy, a third-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident, U.S. Naval Officer, and OsseoScience Foundation Fellow, for an intensive two-week educational visit with our team.

Dr. Murphy’s mission was to learn and observe the latest fully digital workflows for dental implant surgery, ranging from single implant placement to full-arch rehabilitation. During his time with us, he participated in clinical planning, surgical ex*****on, and discussions on integrating advanced digital technologies into implant practice.

A highlight of his visit included two days at X-Nav Technologies, where he had the opportunity to operate with a prototypical surgical robot and explore the capabilities of a new 3D digital surgical microscope—technologies that represent the next generation of precision-guided surgery.

We were honored to host Dr. Murphy and contribute in a small way to the training of such an outstanding surgeon and officer. The future of our specialty is bright with leaders like him.
