“I’m here because I get it. I’ve always known I wanted to be in a helping profession, but this calling became deeply personal when I began experiencing chronic illness symptoms in college. I was suddenly immersed in a world of confusion, uncertainty, and unforeseen change as I searched for answers and relief. I understand how living with chronic, unpredictable, and misunderstood symptoms while navigating the medical system can affect mental health and overall well-being. When I was struggling to balance it all, I turned to therapy. It offered a compassionate space to grieve, learn tools to ease my suffering, and rediscover a sense of safety.

Outside of being a therapist, I am a self-taught calligrapher and a huge fan of arts and crafts. As a nature lover, I often find myself exploring New York’s parks and bringing my portable watercolor kit to paint the scenery. You can also find me searching for the best gluten-free treats NYC has to offer!

My lived experience along with listening and learning from others living with chronic illness desiring empathetic and holistic care inspired me to become a therapist dedicated to walking alongside you on your journey. I see your strengths of resilience and your perseverance through the challenges you’re facing and understand how exhausting it can be to constantly channel these superpowers. I am here to offer a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space where you can navigate the complexities of living with chronic illness, learn therapeutic tools to nurture a sense of safety and connection, and move toward a life that feels meaningful to you.”

Expanding to group practice is a dream realized. We got to capture the joy of this moment in my old neighborhood, where I used to walk my dog and daydream about opening a practice here in New York.

After I developed severe complications during the pandemic, my family stepped in to help take care of me. I had to move away from the place I hoped to call home for the long haul. I felt like a failure and I felt like my body had failed me too.

The last few years held the biggest losses I’ve ever experienced. They also held some of the best moments of my life and unexpected, wonderful changes.

It’s possible to find joy and meaning, even in the face of disability, indivisible illness and chronic health issues. Stability and a new normal are possible. It’s not easy, but I do know it can happen when you have a team beside you.

And dreams can still be realized in a different way, on a different timeline. It is an honor to work with the chronic illness community here in New York City, everyday.

It’s good to be home. đŸ©·
