🐺 We saw wolves chase bison. 💨 We stood in awe before steaming geysers. 🌊 We marveled at thundering waterfalls.
Last week, I took time off to celebrate my birthday in Yellowstone with my husband and two boys. The natural beauty was nothing short of magical.
But you know what the real magic was?
🌿 The small, ordinary moments.
👉🏽 The backseat belly laughs as my boys made silly noises at each other
👉🏽 My toddler’s joy shouting “The trees!” every time he told me to 'spy' something green 🌳
👉🏽 My baby’s giggles while “driving” from Daddy’s lap at a rest stop 🚗💛
Too often, we chase awe in the extraordinary: the big events. the grand achievements. the epic moments.
But the truth?
It's often the simple, small, often overlooked moments that truly stay with us.
💡 And that’s a truth I bring into the work I do with leaders.
We think transformation has to be bold:
📊 The 5-year plan
🏗️ The reorg
🎯 The sweeping initiatives
But real impact?
It often starts with something small:
👂🏼 Listening with intention
💞 Leading with empathy
🙏🏼 Showing up with presence
🌟 Great leadership is built on small moments, repeated daily.
Just like great memories. Just like great lives.
So whether you’re hiking through Yellowstone or leading a team meeting, don’t miss the magic in the small.

What small moment can you create today?
