We’re seeking culinary creatives with exceptional personability to join our team of personal chefs cooking for client weekly meal preps and private events across the DC metropolitan area. This role is ideal for someone who wants the freedom to expand their craft in the kitchen while having the support of a like-minded team of personal chefs, operational experts, and mentors. All candidates will undergo a training period regardless of prior experience.

🌻Summer has been such a blur. There’s been so much change, both mournful and joyful. It’s impossible to ignore that this country and its leadership continues to perpetuate harm to our own people and so so many people globally, in countless continuous ways. Yet we continue to tend to each other, feed each other, and there is beauty and power in that. Amidst this, our business (yes, *our) is also undergoing so much exciting and nerve wracking change, which we’ll soon share with you!

It feels so special to be trusted with someone’s special day. Such a thrill to have gotten to create this three course menu with flavors I grew up with and love. And so so much gratitude to my team, friends, community who show up for me so hard and make it possible for me to do this work.

My compassionate kitchen coaching clients come into this program with so many different intentions, needs, dreams. Some want more power and control over their food and health needs. Some dream of hosting and creating spaces for community around food. Some were never offered the possibility that cooking could be something for them.

I feel grateful to be invited onto these journeys. I’m grateful for people’s vulnerability and courage to share with me their home and to let me see what’s working and what’s not. Together we figure out where our challenges stem from and the systems and strategies we need to make cooking if not joyful, at least not dreadful.

We figure out together what temperature to cook their steak. How to make dinner for your family when everything you make feels shameful and not good enough. Best ways to prep meal components for easy weeknights. How to expand definitions of success and separate good/bad identity from perfect/imperfect meals. Navigating overwhelming grocery stores. Taking care of our future selves.

Every session with every client looks different. And they each have different stories. But for me, each session has been so meaningful for me. It brings me joy to see people’s face change when they first begin to think that what they thought impossible, might just be possible. I love seeing families, partners, friends connect through cooking in ways they couldn’t before. I love seeing people figure out that they really can care for themselves and the people around them, with just a few learned skills.
