A Love Letter to the Practice That Changed My Life
I tried the gym.
Honestly — I really did. But the truth is… I just never made it there consistently. It took too much time, too much energy, and to be honest — I never left feeling better. I left drained.
Now I still do one strength session a week at the gym, because muscles are important too — but the gym never became my “thing.” Pilates did.
Pilates changed my life.
It became my rescue ring after giving birth.
And I know every mom reading this will feel me — there’s not always time to leave the house or even take a shower, but somehow there’s time to roll out a mat for 15 to 40 minutes while your baby is nearby, watching you, sometimes even laughing at your funny movements.
I needed something that made me feel strong again. Feminine. Balanced.
Pilates gave me that.
No pressure. No loud music. No machines. Just breath, control, presence — and results that I could feel.
My body got stronger, my mind calmer, my emotions more grounded.
I started adding light equipment — ankle weights and small dumbbells.
Nothing fancy or expensive, but it took my home workouts to the next level.
And still, everything fits in a small basket in the corner of my room. That’s the beauty of Pilates — it’s simple, accessible, and effective.
It fit into my life as a new mom. It gave me energy instead of taking it away.
And most importantly — it helped me come back to myself.
Now it’s my daily ritual: roll out the mat in the morning, move my body, feel myself again.
And I’ve made it my mission to share this feeling. That’s why I now post weekly Pilates and yoga flows — to help you find your own moment of strength, calm, and joy.
Because I know what a difference 20 mindful minutes can make.
You don’t need fancy — you need real.
And Pilates is just that. 💫
