Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Fr. Dr. A. P. George was born in Arackakudy family, Vengola, Ernakulam District, Kerala.

His parents were Paily and Aliyamma. He had his education at Union Christian College, Aluva, and University Center Karyavattom, Trivandrum. He earned his PhD in Psychology from University of Kerala, Trivandrum. Clinical Psychology Post Graduate degree from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Bihar and certification as Deaddiction Counselor from United States. He was ordained as priest in Malankara Sy

rian Orthodox Church and served in different parishes in Kerala and United States. He worked with various projects of Guardian Angel Care Charitable Society, Kerala, India. During his stay in India, he served as the Director of Bethsada Nursing Home, Clinical Psychologist in Bethsada Mental Health Center and visiting Professor in Malankara Syrian Orthodox Theological Seminary, Mulamthuruthy, Kerala. During his stay in United States, he worked as Professor in Psychology, in the department of Social Sciences, Essex County Community College, New Jersey. Special interests are evangelization, marriage and youth counseling, social work, and writing. Wrote and published nine books of psychological and theological nature for personality development and spiritual enlightenment. His beloved wife Lysa and blessed children Sooraj, Veena, Manu, Sharon and grandchildren Eva and Ephraim are highly supportive and vital partners in his fatherg.com digital ministry. 🌿 Wednesday with Jesus

Dear Bretheren in Christ,

“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” — Ecclesiastes 8:11

One dangerous attitude in spiritual life is presumption — the careless thinking that says:
“God is merciful.”
“God will forgive me anyway.”
“One more sin does not matter.”
This is not true repentance. It's 'Sin of Presumption'.
It is taking the mercy of God lightly.

At first, sin troubles the conscience. The heart feels guilty and prayer becomes difficult. But when conviction is repeatedly ignored, the heart slowly becomes hard. Sin no longer feels serious.

God is indeed full of mercy. Christ welcomes every sinner who truly repents. But His mercy is not permission for careless living.
A loving child does not intentionally wound his father simply because the father is kind.
The longer sin is entertained, the harder repentance becomes.
Therefore we must come quickly to God with humility whenever we fail. A soft and repentant heart is precious before God.

A patient continued unhealthy habits saying,
“The doctor will heal me anyway.” Soon his sickness became severe.
The problem was not the doctor’s kindness, but the patient’s careless attitude. God’s mercy should lead us to repentance, not carelessness.

🌿 Wednesday with Jesus

Dear Bretheren in Christ,

'But for those who are righteous,
the way is not steep and rough.
You are a God who does what is right,
and you smooth out the path ahead of them.
LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
our heart's desire is to glorify your name.'
— Isaiah 26:7-8

At times, the path of the righteous does not feel smooth. Obeying God can be difficult, demanding patience and endurance. Yet, God’s promise is not a life without struggles, but a life directed by Him. A “smooth” path is one guided by His hand and leading to His purpose.
Even in hard moments, God is with us. He goes before us—removing unseen obstacles, arranging what we cannot see. He walks beside us—giving strength, wisdom, and faith. He also provides people in our lives—family, friends, and mentors—to support and encourage us along the way.
Like a traveler walking in mist, we may not see the whole journey, but God gives light for each step. Our part is to trust and continue walking in obedience.
Do not be discouraged. The path may feel hard, but it is still right. Stay on God’s way and let your heart remain fixed on glorifying His name.

Lord Jesus, help me to trust You when the path feels difficult. Give me strength to walk in obedience and a heart to glorify Your name. Amen.

🌿 Wednesday with Jesus

Dear Bretheren in Christ,

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.” — Ecclesiastes 12:13

We often pour our strength into achievements—building, earning, gaining, and reaching. Yet, like Solomon, many come to a quiet realization: even the best of these can feel like “chasing the wind.” They satisfy for a moment, but they cannot anchor the soul. Why? Because we were not created merely for accomplishments, but for a relationship with God.

Jesus gently redirects our focus from the temporary to the eternal. A life centered on reverence for God and simple obedience to His Word carries a depth and stability that success cannot provide. When we live to please Him, even the smallest acts—done in sincerity—become meaningful and lasting.
A life built on worldly gain alone will fade, but a life grounded in God will endure forever.

Today, pause and reflect: What am I truly building my life upon?

Lord Jesus, help me to seek what is eternal rather than what is temporary. Teach me to fear You, walk in Your ways, and build my life on a foundation that will never fade. Amen.

🌿 Wednesday with Jesus

Dear Bretheren in Christ,

“Jesus said to him, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk.’”
(John 5:8)

A man lay by the pool for thirty-eight years—waiting, hoping, and yet stuck. When Jesus met him, He spoke a command. It seemed simple, yet it demanded faith. The man had been defined by his condition for so long, but Jesus called him to step out of it immediately.

Sometimes we wait for perfect conditions before we act—“When things improve… when I feel stronger… when someone helps me…” But Jesus often works differently. His word itself carries power. When He says “Rise,” strength comes with the command. When He says “Walk,” ability follows obedience.

The man could have doubted—“How can I walk?”—but instead, he responded. And in that moment of trust, healing flowed. What had been impossible for years changed instantly through simple obedience.

In our lives too, there are areas where we remain stuck—habits, fears, discouragements. Jesus speaks into those places even today: “Rise.” Not tomorrow. Not when everything feels right. Now. His call is not a burden; it is an invitation to step into new life.
What is the “bed” you are still lying on—something Jesus is asking you to leave behind?

Lord Jesus, give me the faith to rise when You call, even when I feel weak. Help me to trust Your word and walk in the new life You offer. Amen.

പീഡാനുഭവത്തിന്റെ മർമ്മരങ്ങൾ

അനുകൂല മനോഭാവത്തോടെ ജീവിത പ്രതിസന്ധികളെ നേരിടുമ്പോൾ വെല്ലുവിളികളിലെ സംഘർഷം കുറയുന്നതായി അനുഭവപ്പെടുമെന്നത് ഒരു മനശാസ്ത്ര തത്വമാണ്.

കഷ്ടാനുഭവത്തിന്റെ നാളുകളിലെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സമീപനം ഈ സത്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. യേശുവിന്റെ പീഡാനുഭവം കേവലം കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകളുടെ ഒരു പരമ്പര മാത്രമായിരുന്നില്ല. അത് ദൈവിക ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തിൽ നങ്കൂരമിട്ട, അചഞ്ചലമായ ദൃഢനിശ്ചയത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തിലുള്ള ചുവടുവെയ്പ്പായിരുന്നു. ഗെത്സെമൻ മുതൽ ഗോഗുൽത്താ വരെ നാം കാണുന്നത് ദൃഢനിശ്ചയത്തോടെ സംഘർഷ തിരമാലകളെ മുറിച്ച് മുന്നേറുന്ന രക്ഷകനെയാണ്. അസഹനീയ വേദനയെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്റെ വിജയമാക്കി മാറ്റിയ, അചഞ്ചലമായ നിയോഗ പ്രതിബദ്ധതയാണ് ക്രിസ്തു പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചത്.

ഗെത്ത്സെമൻ തോട്ടത്തിൽ തീവ്രമായ വൈകാരിക പ്രതിസന്ധികളാണ് ക്രിസ്തു നേരിട്ടത്. “എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മരണവേദനപോലെ അതിദുഃഖിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ച് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ” (മത്തായി 26:38) എന്ന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകളിൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മനസ്സിലെ സംഘർഷങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തമായ ഉള്ളൊഴുക്ക് വായിച്ചെടുക്കുവാൻ കഴിയും.

ഇത് പ്രതീകാത്മകമായ വാക്കുകളായിരുന്നില്ല, യഥാർത്ഥ വേദനയായിരുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ആത്മീയ പ്രതിരോധശേഷിയിൽ (spiritual resilience) ഹൃദയം ഉറപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പിതാവിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു: "എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അല്ല, നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ ആകട്ടെ” (മത്തായി 26:3).
സഹന സമ്മർദ്ദങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടുവാൻ കർത്താവ് ശ്രമിച്ചില്ല, അതിന് കീഴടങ്ങി. പിതാവിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യവുമായി മനസ്സിനെ പൊരുത്തപ്പെടുത്തി. ശക്തി എന്നത് ലക്ഷ്യബോധത്തോടെയുള്ള കീഴടങ്ങൽ കൂടിയുമാണ്.

പീഡാനുഭവം ചുരുളഴിയുമ്പോൾ, യേശുവിനെ ഒറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നതും, പരിഹസിക്കുന്നതും, ക്രൂരമായി മർദ്ദിക്കുന്നതും നാം കാണുന്നു. പീഡനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം തന്റെ ദൃഢനിശ്ചയത്തെ തകർക്കുവാനുള്ള സാത്താന്യ പോരാട്ടങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ക്രിസ്തു പാപ പരിഹാര ബലിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരടി പിന്നോട്ട് മാറിയില്ല.
"...തന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വച്ചിരുന്ന സന്തോഷം ഓർത്ത് അവൻ അപമാനം അലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി ക്രൂശിനെ സഹിക്കയും ദൈവ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.' (എബ്രായർ 12:2).
മനുഷ്യന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിലായിരുന്നു ക്രിസ്തു ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ചത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് തൽക്കാലത്തെ കഷ്ടപ്പാടിൽ കുലുങ്ങിയില്ല. വേദനയ്ക്ക് അപ്പുറം സഹനങ്ങളിലൂടെ നേടുന്ന ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളിൽ മാത്രം ശ്രദ്ധ വയ്ക്കുന്നതാണ് പ്രത്യാശ. പ്രത്യാശയുടെ ശക്തി വിസ്മയനീയമാണ്.

വൈകാരിക നിയന്ത്രണം, വൈജ്ഞാനിക വ്യക്തത, ദൗത്യ കേന്ദ്രീകൃത സഹിഷ്ണുത (emotional regulation, cognitive clarity, and mission-centered endurance) തുടങ്ങിയ അതിജീവന സമീപനങ്ങളാണ് ക്രിസ്തു കുരിശിന്റെ വഴിയിൽ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ഇത് വിദ്വേഷം, പ്രതികാരം , ഭയം, നിരാശ തുടങ്ങിയ നിഷേധ വികാരങ്ങളിന്മേലുള്ള ശക്തമായ ആധിപത്യം നേടലായിരുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തീയ സഹനയാത്രയ്ക്കുള്ള വിസ്മയ സ്ട്രാറ്റജിയാണ് കർത്താവ് നമുക്ക് പഠിപ്പിച്ചു തന്നത്.

ജീവിതത്തിലെ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുകൾക്കെതിരെയുള്ള സംരക്ഷണ കുമിളയല്ല ആത്മീയത. ദിശ നഷ്ടപ്പെടാതെ ദുരിത കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുകളിലൂടെ നടക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്ന അതിജീവന ശക്തിയാണത്. കഷ്ടതകളുടെ ദിവസങ്ങളായ "ദുഃഖവെള്ളിയാഴ്ചകളെ" നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ആത്മീയത നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. പക്ഷേ, സഹന വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചകൾക്ക് ശേഷം "ഈസ്റ്റർ ഞായറാഴ്ചകൾ" കടന്നു വരുമെന്ന ഉറപ്പ്‌ അത് നമുക്ക് നൽകുന്നു. കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകളുടെയും വിജയത്തിന്റെയും സീസണുകൾ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പ് പദ്ധതികളുടെ ഭാഗമാണെന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവ് നൽകുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് കഷ്ടതകളുടെ കുരിശെടുത്തു നടക്കുവാൻ പീഡാനുഭവം നമുക്ക് പ്രചോദനം നൽകുന്നു. പ്രതികാര തേരോട്ടം നടത്തുന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ നോക്കി, 'പിതാവേ ഇവർ ചെയ്യുന്നത് എന്തെന്ന് അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ഇവരോട് ക്ഷമിക്കണമേ 'എന്ന ക്രൂശിലെ പ്രാർത്ഥന ചൊല്ലുവാൻ നമുക്ക് ആർജ്ജവത്വം നൽകുന്നു.

ജീവിത പ്രതിസന്ധികളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നവർക്ക് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ത്യാഗോജ്വല സമർപ്പണം നൽകുന്ന സാന്ത്വനപ്രദമായ സമാശ്വാസങ്ങൾ അനവധിയാണ്:
നിങ്ങളുടെ വേദന യഥാർത്ഥമാണ്, പക്ഷേ അത് അന്തിമമല്ല. നിങ്ങളുടെ പോരാട്ടം ഭാരമേറിയതാണ്, പക്ഷേ അതിനൊരു ലക്ഷ്യമുണ്ട്. നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സ് ദൈവത്തിൽ നങ്കൂരം ഉറപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഏറ്റവും ഭാരമേറിയ കുരിശ് പോലും സഹിക്കാവുന്നതായിത്തീരുന്നു. താങ്ങും കരങ്ങൾ പിന്നിലുണ്ടെന്ന ഉറപ്പ് സഹനയാത്രയ്ക്കുള്ള ചാലകശക്തി നൽകുന്നു.

'എന്നെ ശക്തനാക്കുന്നവൻ മുഖാന്തരം ഞാൻ സകലത്തിനും മതിയാകുന്നു' (ഫിലിപ്പിയർ 4:13) എന്നത് ഒരു വൈകാരിക മുദ്രാവാക്യമല്ല. അത് ക്രിസ്തുവിനാൽ ശാക്തീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട സഹിഷ്ണുതയുടെ പ്രഖ്യാപനമാണ്. സഹന വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയിലൂടെ നടന്ന കർത്താവ്, ഇപ്പോഴും നമ്മെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന മധ്യസ്ഥനും കരുതുന്നവനുമായി ജീവിക്കുന്നു എന്ന സമുന്നത പ്രഖ്യാപനം.

കുരിശ് അനുവദിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം പുനരുത്ഥാനവും ഒരുക്കുമെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുവാനുള്ള പോസിറ്റിവിറ്റിയാണ് പീഡാനുഭവ ധ്യാനം നമുക്ക് നൽകുന്നത്.

ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കരങ്ങളിൽ നമ്മുടെ ഒരു കഷ്ടപ്പാടും പാഴാകില്ല. അവന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാന വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ ഒരു രാത്രിയും ഇരുണ്ടതല്ല. സഹനത്തിന്റെ ദുഃഖവെള്ളിയാഴ്ചകളിൽ നിന്നും മഹത്തായ ഈസ്റ്റർ ഞായറാഴ്ചയിലേക്ക് ഉത്ഥിതനായ കർത്താവ് നമ്മെ നയിക്കട്ടെ!
