Food TRULY is medicine for our body and mind! 🍓

I got this amazing reminder from who says:

Can a cup of strawberries a day actually lower depression and improve memory? According to the clinical data, yes.

The compound is ellagic acid, a polyphenol concentrated in organic strawberries that directly reduces brain inflammation and feeds the gut bacteria responsible for producing anti-inflammatory signals.

explains how food reshapes your brain from the inside out.

In the full episode we cover:

- How your gut bacteria are signaling your brain through the vagus nerve and driving your mood, anxiety, and behavior
- The “flavorome” and how your food preferences are connected to your brain chemistry
- Why polyphenols are the third pillar of gut health alongside probiotics and prebiotics
- How specific foods like dark chocolate, cantaloupe, and medicinal mushrooms activate your brain’s repair and relaxation systems
- So much more

Most people are trying to fix their mental health from the neck up. The real leverage is in the gut, and the real medicine is on your plate.

Hello everyone!

Did you know that stress can raise your blood sugar levels even if you haven’t eaten a thing?

When we’re stressed, our body releases hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. These trigger the liver to release glucose into the bloodstream for a quick burst of energy (hello, fight-or-flight). But if stress becomes chronic, this can lead to consistently high blood sugar levels, fatigue, mood swings, and even insulin resistance over time.

Stress isn’t just emotional it’s deeply physical too.
That’s why managing stress isn’t a luxury it’s a necessity for your health.

Take a deep breath. Move your body. Prioritize rest. Your nervous system and your blood sugar will thank you.

Client Success Story 😀💙

Teresa and I worked together and this is what she said:

…continued from post above…

“I wasn’t believing it. So Dr. Dae did blood work and found out that I had too much lead in my blood, and we worked on that. And that was the end of it… I don’t have multiple sclerosis.

Then recently, it was arthritis in my knee. My other doctor was talking about giving me shots and a knee replacement surgery, and I just wasn’t feeling that. So I ran back to Dr. Dae.

Now I’m dancing! My arthritis is not… it did not run my life. I’m running my life. And that’s the goal.

The best thing about working with Dr. Dae is not having the pain. And I know that it’s a healthy choice for my body. I feel better, because I’m eating better. I recommend this program because one, it works. Two, from a theological perspective, I see things as God gives us a time that we’re created, and God gives us a time when it’s time to go home. And what’s in between is our time to take care of that vessel. And so that’s why I’m motivated, because I have to do my part. Faith without works is dead, and this time in between is my faith, and working.

Yes. I want to encourage, and there’s always a way, when we have to things to deal with. Whether it’s physically, mentally, it’s always a way out. And working with Dr. Day is one of my ways. I think she is a God-sent woman.”

…blog post continued…

Do you imagine your blood pressure going up? Or do you start to feel really agitated and angry? Anxious? Perhaps feeling emotional is a better description? Are you exhausted yet you can’t go to sleep or stay asleep?

Any or all of these symptoms could be a sign of being stressed out! The release of cortisol, your stress hormone, impacts your body in many ways and, over time, depletes it of nutrients.

What we call stress is a normal part of our body’s processing. When we encounter a stressful situation, our body immediately releases chemicals and hormones to help us handle the situation.

In response to these ‘life-threatening’ situations, our body releases our primary stress hormone, cortisol, which increases our blood pressure and our heart rate, increases the amount of glucose in our body, and increases our mental alertness.

Our stress hormones are designed to be released quickly, act quickly, and then dissipate. This release of cortisol also reduces other hormones and chemicals that ordinarily would help keep us calm and able to rest or sleep.

In our current society, we are more likely to find ourselves getting stressed about things that we do not have control over.

Feeling out of control can emotionally affect us in the same way as a life-threatening event. Our bodies react in the same way, releasing cortisol and stress hormones.

This creates overuse of the stress response, which over time begins to rob our body of nutrients, minerals and the building blocks for our hormones.

We begin to have symptoms like constant fatigue, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, weight gain, high blood pressure and pre-diabetes.

Emotionally we may feel depressed or anxious. We may be constantly quick to anger or frustration.

How do we treat the cause? Quit our jobs and move to the countryside? While that might be nice, we aren’t even able to do that during this time.

We treat the cause by getting the right testing to uncover our hormonal imbalances and nutritional deficiencies.

Contact us to learn more about our testing options and regain true control of your mental, emotional and physical health.
