Our Story

Our mission at The Center for Effective Psychological Services is to provide our clients with a time-effective therapy experience that aims at changing those deeply rooted patterns of behaviors, feelings, and beliefs that create suffering and symptoms.

We believe that time-effective therapy can produce long-lasting changes without sacrificing depth and complexity, and for this reason, our practice specializes in modalities of psychotherapy that are highly experiential, body-centered, and rooted in the present moment.

Most of our clients come to us after they have tried on their own to make changes in their lives, but have not achieved their desired outcome. We also specialize in “first-timers,” as we call those who have been unsure about therapy for quite sometime and have decided to take the leap to get the help that they need in order to have the life they deserve. Some of the reasons that push people to finally come and see us are: chronic stress at work, burnout, difficulty with sleeping, lack of motivation, sadness, difficulty with self-advocacy in personal and work relationships, longstanding difficulty in relationships, anxiety, worry, and trauma.

Our practice is modeled after principles of Deliberate Practice. By this, we understand that in order to make progress in therapy or any other endeavor we commit to:
