Just a quick reminder that our July Healing Hub, Fortifying Rest, is happening Thursday, July 24th from 6:00–7:30 PM at The Festival Center. Colleen Thomas will be hosting. This interactive gathering is a space to breathe, release, and reconnect through creative healing and community support. This is a space where you can come and be and not where you need to come and lead!

A light meal will be provided. Whether you’re coming to reflect, create, or just rest—there’s a place for you.

We're so proud that our school counselors are in 24 DC & Maryland Public & Public Charter Schools through our School-Based Mental Health program. Young people need access to mental health support to navigate the complexities of adolescence and mature into healthy, thriving adults. By hosting a therapist in the school, students can get help directly!

She particularly enjoys offering deep massage and softening tension in the body. Also, in addition to being a massage therapist, she is a somatic life coach. Hey Little Birds! Have you booked an appointment yet at our newly renovated space at The Festival Center (1640 Columbia St NW)? Take a look at our virtual tour to get a sneak peak, and then head to the little bird website: http://www.littlebirddc.com/make-an-appointment/ to book an appointment.

Note that face masks are now optional with a few exceptions: If you are coughing and sneezing due to reasons other than a contagious illness (for example allergies), we are happy to treat you but do ask that you wear a mask. We will have them available.

Also save the date: The Festival Center is having a grand opening on Saturday, June 17th. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11am. From 12pm - 3pm there will be a fair and open house with food and music. This would be a great time to check out Little Bird's new space as well as the renovations and other organizations in the building. We will be offering free 20 minute auricular acupuncture treatments on a first-come, first-served basis as a little treat.

Happy winter solstice, Little Birds! May you experience deep rest during this season of hibernation.

Adrienne is off the last week of December but you can still book an acunap with Sara.

Pro tip for deep rest: listening to a guided meditation or meditative music on your headphones during your acupuncture treatment may help your brain go into a deeper level of relaxation which further signals the body to heal. It can be a really powerful combination.

Little Bird Community Acupuncture opened in the Festival Center in Adams Morgan on June 1, 2010. Our mission is to provide acupuncture and massage to as many people as possible at affordable rates in a cozy community setting.

We use a sliding scale for all our services:


  • Community Acupuncture: $25-$50

  • Massage - 60 minutes: $65-$90
