Meet Hiba, Holy Family Hospital’s lactation consultant, who helps mothers and babies build strong bonds from the very beginning. After years of working as a neonatal nurse, she became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant to better support families in Bethlehem.

“During this time of war and economic problems, we must encourage breastfeeding,” Hiba says. “It is best for mother and baby. It is sanitary when we have problems with water and it has no ongoing costs. In a time like this it is essential.” Through her care, teaching, and encouragement, Hiba helps mothers nurture new life with confidence.

Meet Fuad, a clinical pharmacist at Holy Family Hospital, born and raised in Bethlehem. After earning his pharmacy degree from Al-Quds University, he was selected for The Fulbright Program and completed a master's degree in pharmaceutical research at Butler University.

“After finishing my Fulbright, I returned home,” he says. “I wanted to serve my community.” Today, his work helps ensure patients across the hospital, including fragile newborns in the NICU, receive the medications they need safely and precisely.
