"I’ve never heard of a doctor with a cancerous tumor who didn’t go to see an oncologist, but there are still doctors who take their lives without ever having had an assessment." The crisis of clinician su***de is real, and so is the stigma that prevents so many from seeking help. Thanks to Medscape for raising awareness of this crucial issue and the need to remove barriers to care for those caring for others.

More doctors are sharing their struggles with mental health and suicidality, challenging a culture of silence and stigma that persists in medicine.

We're grateful to the many advocates who uplifted their voices on Capitol Hill today for the National Health Service Corps and other vital health extender programs! Advocates visited the offices of Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Senator Thom Thillis (R-NC), Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), and others to raise awareness of the crucial need to ensure long-term, sustainable funding for the NHSC. Thank you for making your voices heard on Hill Day!

“If health centers want to have truly integrated care, they need to have behavioral health leaders at the leadership table,” Dr. Virna Little of Concert Health and Zero Overdose discusses the role of behavioral health directors at . CHCs sometimes struggle with defining the role of these leaders, but clarity matters, and so does inclusion in higher decision-making. Far too many clinicians and leaders in this space “don’t feel heard or seen,” Dr. Alicia Henderson of Ryan Health noted as ACU's 2025 Behavioral Health Leadership Forum continues.
