The federal government is currently shut down because members of Congress have been unable to agree on a spending bill. Every day the government remains closed means lost time in the fight against cancer and delays for cancer research.

Earlier this month, Floridians directly impacted by cancer (pictured with Senator Rick Scott) met with elected officials in Washington, D.C. to urge them to extend the Health Care Tax Credits. These credits make insurance more affordable and without them, over 4.5 Floridians will face skyrocketing premiums and may lose coverage altogether. Senator Rick Scott and Senator Ashley Moody – can we count on you to extend these tax credits before they expire?
