Last night, APhA issued a press release pushing back against the ACIP Secretariat’s decision to label liaison organizations as “special interest groups” presumed to be “biased” in decision making.

“To be told now that our profession is a ‘special interest’ after decades of service is disgraceful and disrespectful,” said Michael D. Hogue, executive vice president and CEO of APhA. “Calling our participation biased is wrong and dismisses the science we stand on.”
