Meet our newest spine provider, Dr. Monika Misak, MD.

Board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine, Dr. Misak brings advanced training in interventional and regenerative therapies to deliver precise, patient-centered care.

Her clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of spine, joint, and musculoskeletal pain using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Her goal is to restore function, reduce inflammation, and promote biologic healing while minimizing reliance on long-term medications.

In continued honor of Black History Month, we are recognizing the legacy of Dr. J. Robert Gladden, a monumental figure in the history of American orthopedics.

In 1949, Dr. Gladden became the first African American board-certified orthopedic surgeon. His leadership at Howard University and his focus on advancing surgical outcomes for musculoskeletal injuries set a new standard for the profession.

There is a direct clinical lineage from Dr. Gladden’s early work to the modern field of interventional orthopedics. His career was defined by a drive to improve the patient’s quality of life through better diagnostics and specialized treatment of the kinetic chain.

Today, we honor that spirit by continuing to innovate and seek non-surgical solutions that keep our community active and healthy.

In celebration of , we are honoring Dr. Charles R. Drew (1904–1950), known as the "Father of Blood Banking."

While many know Dr. Drew for his lifesaving work during WWII, his scientific legacy is the very foundation of what we do at ROSM. By mastering the fractionation of blood, separating plasma from red blood cells, Dr. Drew created the blueprint for modern regenerative medicine.

The Regenerative Link: Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a direct evolution of the techniques Dr. Drew perfected. Just as he pioneered the separation of blood into vital components to save lives on the battlefield, we use those same principles to concentrate growth factors and accelerate healing for our patients today.
