On Saturday, March 14, the Howard University Faculty Practice Plan team proudly joined the community at the Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex for a day focused on health, education, and wellness. 🩺💙

Our Mobile Health Unit and clinical team provided blood pressure, glucose, and sickle cell screenings, shared PSA education, and connected attendees with community health resources and appointment scheduling.

Meet Dr. Shannon Wentworth, MD, Assistant Professor and Academic Generalist in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Wentworth is passionate about reproductive health and empowering patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their bodies. From family planning and contraception to pelvic pain and preventive care like cervical cancer screening, she believes education and advocacy are essential parts of compassionate care.

In addition to caring for patients, she is dedicated to shaping the next generation of physicians as the Medical Student Clerkship Director in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Howard University College of Medicine.
