Last night I found myself at a little shots bar in Puerto Vallarta — and who’s hanging out on the wall? None other than the q***r Lotería art of Félix D’Eon. He didn’t even know they were using his work. Q***r Chicano art really has a way of getting around.

Tonight, I had the joy of stepping into his home and studio. Félix’s art fuses q***r desire and Indigenous history with wit, beauty, and a wink. I’ve been lucky to include some of his pieces (with permission, of course!) in my clinical trainings as a gender therapist — because q***rness and culture belong in every room.

And yes… I’ll be framing a few of his works this week. Because some things deserve a permanent place on the wall.

WORLDPRIDE IS GOING ON IN D.C.… BUT HOW WORLDLY IS IT, REALLY? 🏳️‍🌈🌍

As someone who’s been active in the LGBTQ+ community for years—both in D.C. and now seeing clients internationally from Mexico City—I’ve been watching WorldPride 2025 with real curiosity.

Having attended truly global Pride events before, I can’t help but wonder:
👉 How have U.S. travel restrictions, visa denials, and systemic exclusions impacted international participation?
👉 Is this WorldPride… or is it just D.C. Pride on steroids?

From my balcony on Reforma Avenue—home to the second-largest Pride parade in the world after NYC—I know what scale and visibility can look like. But visibility without inclusion isn’t the same as representation.
