A few days ago I provided massages at a company and most of the employees stated that they were either stressed or busy that day. One employee in particular told me after her massage with me ,"You just gave me hope that I can face the rest of my day."

Thats the result of 20 years of experience and intentional touch from a passionate massage therapist. Many folks treat this like any other job, it's an end to a means. Well this is my passion, I see every person as a human being and I govern myself accordingly.

Not everyday is rosey but when you walk in your purpose and do what you love, it shines through.

I had a great time this past weekend hiking with on their Cupid hike on Valentine's Day. It was my first time hiking in snow since I left the Army eons ago. But walking in the crisp winter air with some amazing Black folks was a fun and relaxing way to spend the holiday. Shoutout to my lil sis and her love for joining me on this hike.

I'm happy I was well enough to attend and I look forward to hiking more with Goombay in 2026.

I was honored to witness the venerable Monks today. Such a powerful display of discipline, reverence, love, kindness, joy and peace. Seeing the thousands of people walking behind them moved me to tears. Their auras exudes love and peace.

Lately, I’ve been leaning into the Reiki Principles more intentionally as I move through this recent Lupus flare.

They’re simple, daily reminders to slow my nervous system, reduce stress, and meet my body with patience instead of pressure.

Less pushing. More presence.
Reiki has been a steady support in my own healing, and it’s also a practice I offer to clients seeking balance, grounding, and nervous system support.

The Gullah Geechee Herbal Gathering is an herbal conference for Black and Indigenous herbalists and community that takes place on my family's land on John's Island, SC. This year's Gathering is Oct. 2-4,2026 and all of the classes are being taught by my curated list of elders from around the Diaspora.

Yesterday was my first day back to work after a 90 day Lupus flare with multiple hospitalizations and navigating a lot of grief.

It was 🧱 outside but it felt good getting back to my passion of providing my brand of massage therapy for a local law firm.

The employees were so excited to receive massages and I was honored to providing them with some stress relief.

I included a few shots I took along my commute. Snowy day in DC. I'm slowly getting my massage bearings back and I am looking forward to providing more Soulful Touch in 2026.
