I reunited with Gym today after a worldwide 2 weeks of teaching, travel and working. Today was an arms and abs day. Y'all see my six pack loading ...lol

Never the less it felt good to get back into my daily routine. Consistency is important in transforming your life and your health. A simple 5 minute daily walk is better than doing nothing at all. Start small and level up when that routine becomes too easy for you.

Walk that talk baby!

I am deeply honored to announce and to serve as the Founding Chapter President of the Holistic Professionals of Color – DC Chapter.

Holistic Professionals of Color (HPOC) is a national nonprofit with a network dedicated to uplifting Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other people of color in holistic wellness. We believe healing is rooted in culture, community, and shared purpose. Together, we create opportunities for education, connection, and support. My goals with the chapter here in DC, is to:

✅️Share resources and mentorship

✅️ Provide certification and learning opportunities around various holistic health modalities

No matter what your current station in life is at this moment, extend a little gratitude for your existence. Trust me, I know it's easier said than done, but just try it today. Rest in knowing that we are always carried and surrounded by the Most High.

No matter what someone else’s life looks like, we all take turns holding and being held, falling and getting up, crying and smiling, hurting and experiencing joy, knowing and being completely unaware, having and not having. No one is immune, no matter how great their life may seem on the internet or in "real" life.

Living life as we know it is an eventual juxtaposition. We will all at some point in our lives lose and gain. Dark can not exist without light and vice versa. Know that you are not alone in experiencing the ebb and flow of life.

Today, I ask that you center yourself, take 3 deep breaths, feel your heart, and for the moment give thanks for YOUR life in all of varied experiences.

Go forward breathing gently, embracing your own humaness.

The beauty of being a self-employed massage therapist is being able to allow my elder client who admitted she didn't rest well last night, the opportunity to take a much needed nap after her reiki session on my table. No rushing her off, just allowing her to bask and rest in the moment.

Sleeping on my massage table or on my massage chair is a huge compliment to me as massage therapist. It says to me that you are open to receiving and that you trust me and my abilities as a massage therapist enough to let go and just relax! I'd take that as a monetary tip any day.

I'm grateful to be able to provide healing modalities like reiki and massage therapy to my clients on my own terms and utilizing my God given talent and my acquired skills.

I named my company A Soulful Touch Wellness because I provide holistic health services with a touch of soul. Free naps are included!

Last weekend in Denver I attended the Denver Gem show and I happened upon this vendor who sold sound therapy instruments and I gave this tongue drum a try. Shout out to my line sister Talaka for the sneak recording.

I love sound therapy, it's just as therapeutic for me as it is to the listener. I'm looking forward to providing more sound journeys in the next coming months, so stay tuned.

This Gullah Geechee Goddess is not a one trick pony lol. I love being a multi passionate woman of various holistic health modalities, as there is no one size fits all to holistic health healing. Like my T-shirt says, I walk in my purpose!

Today's ...DC child and family services agency. Being of service to those who face the public daily is definitely a pleasure and a honor. Social work isn't for the weak, and they deserve to have some stress relief, even at work.

Giving folks a 10 minute reprieve through massage is my speciality. The smiles on their faces are a beautiful tip. Knowing that I made a difference in their day brings me joy.

This past weekend I had the honor of attending the 4th annual Holistic Professionals Of Color() Conference in Denver Colorado. It was a weekend of workshops, connection, awards, sisterhood, laughs, introspection, confirmation and growth for me.

While there, I was inducted as a member of Sa Ta Nebet Kemetic Sorority. Being a member of the charter line of this history making organization falls into alignment with me and my brand and I am honored to walk this path.

I also got to visit the gorgeous Red Rock Park and the Denver Gem show. The gen show was beautiful and overwhelming as I wanted to buy everything! I did purchase a few goodies, a couple of them will.be incorporated into my practice.

Overall, I enjoyed my first HPOC Conference and I look forward to attending next year as it will be in Atlanta! Definitely follow HPOC and connect with their works.

I'm back from a busy week of traveling from providing sound baths and vending at the Great Lakes Herb Faire in Michigan, to returning from the Holistic Professionals Of Color ( ) conference in Denver, Colorado on yesterday.
