Serving Wards 7 & 8, we are a full-service hospital providing trauma care and emergency services, behavioral health, cardiac, labor and delivery and orthopedic services. Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health integrates clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration establishes a robust system of care for all District residents and in particular, communities East of the River. The $434.4 million full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.

A special arrival to start the year! Earlier this month, we welcomed our first baby of 2026 at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health! Congratulations to Mom, Tyra Oliver, and Dad, Kevin Plight Jr., on the arrival of their baby boy, Kevin T. Plight Jr., born on January 12. Our Labor & Deliver team greeted baby Kevin with a basket of goodies, including a CHRMC “Delivered with Love” onesie. We’re honored to have shared in this moment and wish the growing family a lifetime of love, health and unforgettable memories!

We’re proud to welcome Kimberlee Daniels, MBA, FACHE, as the new Interim CEO of Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health (CHRMC)! A nationally recognized leader with deep experience in academic medicine, Kimberlee brings a strong vision centered on access, equity and community partnership.

“We are prioritizing access, quality and service, equitable care and community inclusion while producing outcomes that reflect the highest standards of care. My personal passion is to lead transformative efforts that result in population health and the overall well-being of the community. It is imperative that we actively engage the DC community to create partnerships, foster strong relationships and build trust to create a healthcare delivery system that truly serves their needs,” said Daniels.

Under her leadership, CHRMC will continue integrating services with The George Washington University Hospital and the Cedar Hill Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated system will establish a robust network of care, helping to ensure all District residents have timely, equitable access to excellent healthcare.
