Our members represent Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Insurance claimants through the adjudication process, advocating for the income rights of people with disabilities. Fall 2025 Conference Speaker Spotlight: Judge William Ramsey
We’re excited to welcome Judge William Ramsey to the NOSSCR Fall Conference this September in San Diego and virtual.
Judge Ramsey was appointed an Administrative Law Judge in 2011 and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ). His distinguished career spans roles as an Assistant Chief Counsel for DHS, an Assistant District Attorney, and a Military Judge in the U.S. Army Reserve. He has deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq, taught Constitutional and Military Law at West Point, and holds multiple advanced degrees—including a JD, MSS, and MBA. Ramsey's career reflects a deep commitment to justice, public service, and education.

The National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) is a specialized bar association for attorneys and advocates who represent Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplement Security Income (SSI) claimants throughout the adjudicative process. Since 1979, NOSSCR has been providing continuing legal education to its thousands of members and public policy advocacy on behalf of its members and the people with disabilities they represent.
We advocate for improvements in Social Security disability programs and to ensure that individuals with disabilities applying for Social Security Disability and SSI benefits have access to highly qualified representation and receive fair decisions.
