Love Shines Bright

As Love shines, clouds will dissolve,
And fear will regress as our faith evolves.
Beyond the sky, where dreams are true,
The clouds will move and let Love travel through.

So, in the heart’s core, let it glow and flare,
So strong, so fierce, that clouds won’t dare
To test its faith, vision, purpose, or sight,
They will move afar and be in awe of this brilliant light.

Through storms and shadows and all the high tides,
We birth our Butterflies and continue to ride.
Through fire, burning sands, and our darkest nights,
With Love’s brilliance on high beam,
We have everlasting headlights

Let it rise like the sun after long, stormy hours,
With the power to heal, to awaken the flowers.
May it warm every soul and fulfill every chill,
And show us the beauty that Love can instill.

And when our hearts shine, with light through Love,
No cloud can stay; universal laws are from above.
So have faith in Love, and Light will illuminate our way
And if Clouds ever come, they will soon go away

Choose Love and Light and keep the dove in our sight
Our purpose and cocoon, our butterflies' flight
We have faith in Love; the light is how we fight
and even if we choose four Lefts, it will never make us Right

Love More 3.14: A summary of the history of Pi
The concept of pi (π) has been known for almost 4,000 years, and it represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. This ratio is constant for all circles and is approximately equal to 3.14159. Pi is a part of ancient math that we are still trying to figure out.
The origin of π's approximation can be traced back to the ancient Babylonians and Egyptians, who had their respective approximations of π. For example, a Babylonian tablet (ca. 1900-1680 BCE) suggests a value of 3.125 for π, while the Egyptian Rhind Papyrus (ca. 1650 BCE) implies a value of about 3.1605.
The ancient Greeks built on these frameworks, understanding the significance of π. Archimedes of Syracuse (287-212 BCE) is one of the most notable figures in this endeavor. He used the method of inscribing and circumscribing polygons around a circle to approximate π, arriving at values between 3.1408 and 3.1429, a remarkable achievement for the time.
The pursuit to understand and calculate π more accurately continued through the ages, with mathematicians in the Islamic Golden Age, the Middle Ages in Europe, and the Renaissance making contributions. The development of calculus in the 17th century by Sir Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz allowed for even more precise calculations of π. In the 18th and 19th centuries, mathematicians like Leonhard Euler and Carl Friedrich Gauss contributed further to its study.
The symbol "π" itself was first used in 1706 by William Jones, but the understanding and approximation of π date back much further. Today, with the help of computers, π has been calculated to trillions of decimal places. Still, the fascination with this irrational number dates back to the earliest quests to understand geometry and the world around us.

Dr. Bruce is the Founder and Executive Director of a community-based, nonprofit organization called “The Love More MOVEment.” He is a direct descendant of Underground Railroad Conductors, Station Masters, Freedom Fighters, and educators. Like his ancestors, he has dedicated his life to creating a world where lLove, Joy, Peace, Hope, Purpose, Equity, Transformation, and Liberation are lifestyles. Dr. Bruce believes that there will never be physical freedom without mental Liberation, and this Liberation begins with universal Healing. He has built a training platform to develop Life Coaches and Healing Leaders, as well as a Trauma Recovery platform and movement called “Love More Healing Stations.” Dr. Bruce is a lifetime member of the Association of Black Psychologists and Mensa International. He is also a member of Free and Accepted Masons, Prince Hall Affiliate and the Sports Hall of Fame at Bowie State University.

Join us Wednesday, January 25th, from 2 pm to 5 pm for a session about Healing our Home. As the African proverb says, "Home is not where we live; Home is where we belong." Therefore, we must discover a way to support the Home's infrastructure, so it becomes a Brave Space, which will lead to Love, Light, Joy, Hope, Peace, Purpose, Liberation, and Transformation. Using a dynamic simulation for this session, Dr. Bruce Purnell, Executive Director of The Love More Movement, will lead mental health providers, educators, therapists, and counselors on a healing journey. The therapeutic simulation can be used to help clients, students, and community members discover the many implications involving Healing, Energy, Affirmations, Love, Identity, Balance, and Success, which will connect them to the pillars of “NTU,” which are Harmony, Balance, Interconnectedness, and Authenticity.
