In Loving Memory of Lena Sheri Hale
With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Lena Hale, the beloved daughter of Deborah Alston and Vincent Hale, in November 2023 at her home in Washington, DC. The official cause is yet unknown, but her death currently is thought to be a tragically, accidental fall in her bathroom.
Our Lena was a bright and vibrant 41-year-old, young woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her kindness, compassion, bright eyes, and infectious smile. She was a devoted daughter, a caring sister, loving aunt, and a loyal friend to those that stayed by her.
A graduate of an HBCU, Howard University, Lena cultivated a fervor for filming, photography, travel, vegetarian cooking, real estate, and financial investing. Her insatiable curiosity led her to constantly seek out unique places to visit at home and abroad and to learn more about people. Intellectually curious and talented made Lena a truly remarkable person. In recent years, Lena embraced deep religious convictions and devoted time to studying and understanding the Bible.
We love her so much and she will be desperately missed by us, her extended family, relatives, friends, and all who knew her.
We invite family, friends, and colleagues to join us in celebrating her life and bidding her farewell. Let us come together to honor her memory, share stories, and find solace in each other’s company. See the attached Memorial Announcement for details.
This is a small venue and seating space is extremely limited for in-person attendance. For those unable to attend in-person, the memorial service will be live-streamed. Please join us virtually to pay your respects.
More details on the live streaming will be coming soon.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
The Alston-Hale Family
