The International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) has established itself as promoting the highest standards of cardiac rhythm management and to recognize cardiac care professionals who have mastered this unique subspecialty. IBHRE Certification is a highly recognized world-wide credential defined by leading domestic and international experts in the field of heart rhythm management. Four distinct examinations thoroughly test competencies necessary to provide quality patient care in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. Each certification can be obtained by qualifying for and successfully passing an examination in a computer-based testing format.

Nominations are being accepted for the Public Member seat on IBHRE's Board of Directors. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Sept. 5, 2025.

This three-year term position begins Oct. 2025 and ends May 2028 with an option for reappointment. Interested parties can self-nominate. IBHRE-certified specialists are NOT eligible for nomination.

IBHRE is excited to announce that the Georgia Board of has approved IBHRE as a certifying body. With this approval, IBHRE-certified Registered and Practical Nurses licensed in the State of Georgia can utilize completion of IBHRE's continuous competency program, IBHRE-C3, to satisfy continuing education requirements for license renewal. IBHRE is proud to announce that the Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist, or CDRMS, certification program has been accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) for a five-year period. Earning accreditation from the largest multidisciplinary accreditation body in North America affirms that the CDRMS certification program adheres to the highest global standards in credentialing.
