Not quite. This is actually mid-procedure during a breast reduction with Dr. Arsalan.

Using a tool called a “cookie cutter,” we carefully mark and reposition the ni**le to better match the new breast shape and proportions. It is a standard step in both breast reductions and lifts, ensuring a natural, balanced result.

By the end of surgery, not only is the breast reshaped and lifted, but the ni**le is resized and placed in a more aesthetically ideal position.

This patient had saline implants placed in the late 90s and came in ready for a change, looking to remove them and return to a more natural look without adding new implants or undergoing a traditional breast lift.

Dr. Ruff performed implant removal, pectoralis muscle repair, fat grafting, and Renuvion to help restore shape and support while tightening the skin.

And yes, they were still intact 😳

In this case, the patient presented with capsular contracture, a condition where the body forms a thick, tight capsule of scar tissue around a breast implant. Over time, that tissue can become firm and even calcified, which can affect both comfort and appearance.

Here, Dr. Arsalan is cutting into that hardened capsule to remove it and access the implant, which, despite its age, remained intact.

👁️ Upper eyelid or brow… which one is it?

If you are noticing heaviness or hooding around the upper eyelids, the answer is not always as simple as “extra skin.”

In this episode of Face the Facts, Dr. Lexie Wang breaks down how to tell whether your concern is truly related to the eyelids… or if it is actually the brow position creating that appearance.

A simple shift in brow position can change the entire look of the upper eyelid, and understanding the difference is key to choosing the right treatment.

One quick rule of thumb:
If the hooding extends past the outer corner of the eye, it may be more of a brow issue. If it stays closer to the inner eyelid, it is more likely excess eyelid skin.

Breast Augmentation - 6 Weeks Post-Op!

Following up on this patient’s journey, we are now at the 6-week mark.

This 24-year-old patient underwent a bilateral breast augmentation with 320cc Motiva Ergonomix SmoothSilk® implants placed in a subfascial pocket (over the muscle).

At this stage in healing, swelling has continued to improve and the implants are beginning to settle into a more natural position. Shape, softness, and overall contour will continue to refine over the next several weeks as the healing process progresses.
