Gabrielle Czaja, PT Gabrielle Czaja, physical therapist, Alexander Technique teacher and holistic educator.

My greatest joy is guiding adults and young people to optimal health, empowering them to thrive and succeed throughout their life. As a healer and educator, my goal is to help people discover and build upon their own inner resources, as sourced in their bodies. In individual sessions with young people and adults, clients heal from injuries and develop life skills for injury prevention and healthy self-care habits. In the school setting, and in workshops for students and school faculty, Alexander Technique in Education curriculum is the basis for teaching classroom strategies that help teaching be more effective; self-care skills for teachers; and for students—the fundamentals of agency, self-compassion and how to navigate the stresses of our complex world.

Do you have a young performer in your family? Movement and postural habits begin with the very first music, dance and vocal lessons. Unknowingly, these habits can interfere with your child's health and well-being in subtle ways.

Research suggests that Alexander Technique lessons can help young performing artists:
**Prevent overuse injuries
**Enhance their performance and stage presence
**Mindfulness techniques to reduce performance stress

Is your child ready to compete this Fall? A physical therapy assessment illuminates any vulnerabilities that may contribute to sports injuries. An individual, specialized program to prevent injuries and maximize performance can ensure your student-athlete is strong and ready for practice and competition.

Why is a physical therapy and movement assessment important?

Prevent overuse or misuse injuries. These are the most common types of injuries in young people! We all have hidden muscle imbalances, even kids.
Recover more quickly from traumatic injuries such as a torn muscle or ligament, sprains and strains, broken bones.
ADDED BONUS: your teen athlete can also learn mind-body skills to enhance both physical performance and mental readiness for competition

Candace Cox is a gifted, phenomenal teacher! This course will be life-changing.

Registration open! https://mailchi.mp/b8fb03b35bc4/living-daily-course
This four-week online course was developed with a grant from Parkinson Canada, and the pilot was enormously successful. Registration is being taken for May, June and Sept start dates.
"Anyone at any stage of Parkinson's could benefit from this course and it’s completely different from any other PD class or therapy I have heard of or tried. It is not like going to an exercise class where you workout for an hour or so and then return to life as usual. Instead you learn how to reset your body by moving properly in all your daily activities from opening the oven, standing washing dishes, getting up and down off the toilet (!), etc etc. All those activities that PD makes harder or impossible to manage. It’s the first therapy that has given me HOPE that I am going to be able to maintain a normal life for longer than I had thought."
