✨ Happy Heavenly 25th Birthday to Our Beautiful Daughter ✨

Today, our daughter should be turning 25… but she’s forever 19. 💜
This pain — I promise you — I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. She did everything right. She was respectful, intelligent, and driven. A straight-A student her whole life. She loved learning, performing, and leading — from law camp to modeling, acting, singing, dancing, cheering, track, and volleyball.

She was a loyal friend, an amazing sister, and the sweetest daughter we could have ever asked for. 🌸

I’ll never understand why children have to lose their lives to cancer. I miss her every single day. People told me it would get easier — but it hasn’t. Maybe I’ve just gotten better at hiding the pain… but it’s still there.

So today, I’ll fight back every tear and celebrate her — because she loved her birthday so much. 🎈

Happy Birthday in Heaven, baby girl. We’re sending you all the balloons and all our love. 💜

As We Wrap Up “Go Grey in May”…

This May, as we close out Brain Tumor Awareness Month, we want to share a few honest and heartfelt reflections:
• Sadly, we did not raise any funds to support a family with a child battling DIPG.
• We also did not receive any requests for assistance or nominations of children currently fighting DIPG.

We know we’re still in the early stages of getting our foundation back up and running — but our purpose hasn’t changed. We are here to honor Mikeal’s dream and support families walking the same heartbreaking path she once walked.

Right now, we are completely crowd-funded, and every single dollar truly makes a difference.

We also understand the pressure so many are under in today’s economic climate. That’s why we’re hoping to come together with our supporters, even in small ways, to do something meaningful.

🤍 Even if we raise a modest amount, we will turn it into a gift card for a family with a child currently battling DIPG — something to bring them comfort, joy, or relief in a very hard time.

Shining a Light on DIPG

DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma):
A rare, aggressive childhood brain tumor.
Incurable. Untreatable. Inoperable. Terminal.

INCURABLE – No cure exists. No path to recovery.
UNTREATABLE – No effective treatment.
INOPERABLE – Surgery is not an option.
TERMINAL – It will lead to death.
MEDICAL TRIALS – Experimental options still in testing, like immunotherapy and radiation.

Doctor: Your child has a brain tumor. It’s DIPG.
Me: What’s DIPG?
Doctor: An incurable, untreatable, inoperable childhood brain tumor. It’s terminal. There is a clinical trial — immunotherapy with radiation — but the best thing you can do is make memories.

It’s May — and you know what that means… Go Grey in May!
May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month and we’re kicking it off with love, purpose, and passion.

This month, we want to do something incredibly special for families with a child fighting DIPG. Our goal is to gift as many families as possible with:
• A care package for the whole family
• A personal gift for their brave DIPG warrior
• And a financial gift to help ease their burden

But we can’t make this magic happen without YOU.
