This Transgender Awareness Week, we celebrate the trans community while recognizing the work that still needs to be done. 🏳️‍⚧️

90% of LGBTQ+ young people say their well-being has been negatively impacted by recent politics. That's why showing up matters now more than ever. Because support can save lives.

So how do we show up? By actively affirming trans identities, speaking up when it matters, and creating spaces where trans youth feel safe, seen, and heard. 💙

Belonging isn’t just about “fitting in.” It’s about being seen, valued, and connected to people, land, ancestors, and culture. 💙

When Native American students find that kind of connection, their sense of belonging, and mental well-being, grow stronger. Campuses that create culturally grounded spaces see a 65% increase in belonging among Native students.

Because when you feel rooted in who you are and where you come from, healing begins.

November is Native American Heritage Month 🌿

It’s a time to recognize the connections that hold communities together. Many Indigenous teachings remind us that everything is linked: our health, our relationships, our environment, and our sense of belonging. When we care for one part of ourselves, we strengthen them all.

This month, we’re reflecting on that spirit of connection and uplifting Native voices that live it every day. Stay tuned. 🩵

What an incredible Feelings Fair hosted by The University of Alabama Active Minds Chapter! 🎉 Last week, students came together to explore emotional regulation through interactive stations covering everything from on-campus mental health resources to mindfulness and stress management.

A big thank you to our partner Urban Outfitters for making this event possible as part of their Everything, Everywhere, All You Want holiday campaign. Together, we're creating spaces where students can prioritize their mental health and learn valuable coping skills. 💙
