Last week, the LEAD program participants attended Argentum’s Senior Living Leadership Summit. ⭐️

While onsite in Scottsdale, the group met to discuss networking with a mini-refresh on leadership styles through a networking lens. They broke out into small groups to evaluate a case study about networking in action and took time to build their Networking Map and near-term action plan.

President Trump is expected to announce a new healthcare proposal this week, primarily to avert significant premium due to the expiration of enhanced ACA premium tax credits.

Approximately 22 million Americans may be impacted by the expiration of the tax credits. This plan would temporarily extend these tax credits, with new income limits for eligibility, eliminating “zero-premium” plans.

U.S. Representative Lloyd Smucker recently introduced H.R. 5494, the Essential Workers for Economic Advancement Act, bipartisan legislation designed to address workforce shortages through new foreign-born workforce programs.

The bill would create a temporary H-2C visa for employers struggling to fill positions for three months in areas with low unemployment, targeting essential industries facing labor gaps.

With more than 20 million workers needed by 2040 to meet growing demand for senior care, solutions like this that include targeted visa programs can help ensure communities have the staff needed to provide high-quality care across caregiving, hospitality, and other essential roles.
