You’ve got recipes, a love for food, and maybe even a half-finished document sitting on your desktop — but how do you turn that into a real, published cookbook? Whether you’re dreaming of a family recipe collection or a cookbook that hits the shelves, the process can feel overwhelming if you don’t know where to begin.

In this episode, Christina and Corinne talk with Alison Correy of Keeping the Peas about the planning process, what to know about self-publishing, key lessons from Alison’s journey, and how to handle marketing and PR to get your cookbook into the hands (and kitchens!) of your future readers.

And by best friend, I mean ChatGPT 🤣

It’s been a while since I introduced myself here, so I thought I would give it a try with the help of Chat GPT because figuring out how to introduce yourself is always a bit daunting.

Here is the prompt if you want to give it a try—Describe me like my drunk best friend. I’m (your name). I live in (city), I do (what you do), and I love (fun fact), (fun fact), and (fun fact). And make it REALLY FUN!

Just to give you a bit more perspective, I haven’t figured everything out yet. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, and I’m always evolving when it comes to my goals, who I want to be, and how I want to have a positive impact on the world.

I’m still figuring out how to balance being a mother, a wife, and an entrepreneur. Not all of my days are as productive as I like, and I have certainly gone through phases of burnout and doubt.

I’m still learning how to be true to myself and not feel the need to constantly be a people pleaser. But the older I get, the less I care what others think 🤣

I love to read and I love to share my favorite books with others...here are a few of my favorites in no particular order...

1. The Nightengale by Kristin Hannah
2. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Victoria E Shwab
3. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
4. Pride and Prejudice of Jane Austen
5. Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
6. Weyward by Emilia Hart
7. Kindred by Octavia Butler
8. The Alice Network by Kate Quinn
9. Atomic Habits by James Clear
10. Outliers by Malcom Gladwell
