Celebrating Kwanzaa ❤️🖤💚
Kwanzaa invites us to reflect on the Nguzo Saba—the seven principles that guide collective care, liberation, and community well-being. These values are deeply aligned with the work we do every day in support of Black maternal health.
✨ Umoja (Unity): Standing together to uplift Black mothers, babies, and families.
✨ Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): Affirming the right of Black birthing people to define and advocate for their own care.
✨ Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility): Building systems of shared care, accountability, and community support.
This season, we honor our ancestors, celebrate our culture, and reaffirm our commitment to safe, equitable, and culturally responsive care. May these principles continue to guide us—not only during Kwanzaa, but all year long.
Which Kwanzaa principle resonates most with you this season? Share with us in the comments.✨
