As a former primary school teacher, Ann believes it is important that we understand the history behind the holidays we cherish! 💕

Our residents were excited to participate in a digital storytelling project with students from the Bard High School Early College DC yesterday!

A big thank you to Liana Conyers, the Associate Dean of Academic Life and Associate Professor of Performing Arts, for asking us to collaborate on this creative endeavor ☺️🎥

Can't wait to see the finished product which will be gifted to our residents!

In 2025, the Van Ness Main Street Pollinator Planting Program, headed by Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, and Van Ness resident Kathy Sykes, celebrates its 7th year of service to the Van Ness, Wakefield, and Forest Hills corridor!

All along Connecticut Avenue, you will see the lovely native plant beds that Kathy and her dedicated volunteers have planted and taken care of over the years. Forest Hills of DC is proud to volunteer in the spring and fall each year to help maintain these beds with Kathy and other community volunteers 🌼🌿 It was a beautiful day for gardening this past weekend!
