Meet Dr. George C. Awah: Trusted Internal Medicine Physician with Over 25 Years of Experience
At the heart of our medical practice is Dr. George C. Awah, a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician with a deep commitment to providing personalized, high-quality care to every patient he sees. With more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Awah brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to the field of internal medicine.
Since earning his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in 1991 and completing his residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in 1994, Dr. Awah has continuously served his community in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He is a proud member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
In addition to his internal medicine practice, Dr. Awah is a designated United States Civil Surgeon, authorized to perform immigration physical examinations for individuals applying for U.S. permanent residency (Green Card) and citizenship.

Annual physical exams and preventive checkups
In-hospital patient care
Civil Surgeon immigration medical exams

In-person and telemedicine appointments
We are committed to timely, responsive care. New and existing patients are typically seen within 1–2 weeks, and semi-urgent walk-ins can often be accommodated within 24 to 72 hours, depending on the nature of the medical concern—just call ahead to consult with Dr. Awah.
