Our second year students completed their first week of their second Integrated Clinical Experiences (ICE II). They are applying their skills at clinics across the DMV, working with different populations across the continuum of care.

This past week, Dr. Erin Wentzell led panel discussion at the Physical Activity Symposium where leaders reflected on reaching physical activity goals by 2050. We are so excited to see what else she accomplishes as the board representative for APTA for PAA!

First day of Prosthetics and Orthotics lab! Thank you to Dr. Ostovari and Michelle Intinoli for providing our second year students with an amazing hands on experience to reinforce content learned in the classroom! 🦾🦿👟

Our first year students took a trip to the APTA and received an introduction to the profession of physical therapy, learning about the history of PT as well as the value of membership to the APTA. Also, they went on a full tour of the APTA Centennial Center.

We are so happy to welcome the class of 2028 to GW DPT! Our incoming first year students had an amazing time during orientation! On Saturday, they participated in Welcome Day of Service. We are so excited to have you on campus!!

As summer semester comes to an end, we want to congratulate our first year students on completing such a wonderful year! These students have had such an amazing year, working so hard to learn new concepts through labs, lectures, and activities. Outside of the classroom, they became the intramural soccer champions and earned 2nd place in the intramural basketball championships! While they are sad to leave Classroom A, we can’t wait to see all they will accomplish as second years! ✌️🎉👏🏻

Our first year students had the opportunity this semester to volunteer with different community partners as part of their Interprofessional Community Practicum Class. They each created a resource for these groups, such as informational pamphlets or videos on exercises, safe transfers, or safe and accessible movement activities. Each group was able to present their experience in a poster presentation! Thank you to all of our community partners!🤍
