On this solemn day, as we remember September 11, 2001, my heart goes out to everyone touched by the events that unfolded. It’s a day of reflection, honoring the brave souls we lost and the courageous individuals who rose to help when we needed them the most.

Let’s take a moment today to hold our loved ones a little tighter, to reach out to our neighbors, and to reflect on the values that bring us together.

We will never forget the lives lost nor the acts of heroism that shone brightly on one of our darkest days. Let’s carry forward that light of compassion and unity every day.

Not all raised their hand with the idea of being a war hero. Not all raised their hand because they were overly patriotic. Many served as a means to grow and make improvements over their life and the lives of their loved ones. Along the way, they learned the value of team and formed a bond that could never be broken. In the midst of this, they gave all they had to give, life. Today is a day to salute those that gave everything. Let us not forget the families that continue to grieve the loss of their loved one. Today is a day of reflection and gratitude to those that can no longer be with us.
