Stop comparing yourself to others 💛
As a healthcare professional, I see this all the time: people quietly judging themselves based on someone else's progress, appearance, or lifestyle. Maybe you’ve caught yourself doing it too—comparing your diet, your body, your habits, or even your routines to friends, coworkers, or strangers online.
Yes, I am guilty of this too, I am human.
But here’s the truth: “comparison is the thief of joy” (Theodore Roosevelt)—and often, of progress.
Everyone has a unique body, different genetics, varying life circumstances, and personal challenges you may never see. You can’t see their behind the scenes struggles or efforts towards success. Also, what works for one person may not work for you—and that’s okay. You are not behind. You are not failing. You are simply on a path that is uniquely yours.
Instead of measuring yourself against others, compare yourself to who you were yesterday.
If you are working on a health goal, remember the importance of focusing on small, sustainable steps forward. Make small mindful choices every day; this is where real change happens.
Also, if you are working on a goal that just doesn’t make sense for you, take a moment to determine where this goal came from? Genuinely ask yourself: “Does this truly align with my highest good right now or if it comes from a place of comparison to others?”
Your pace is enough ❤️
