One of my favorite (and simplest) supports for mental health → sunlight.
Spending time in natural light boosts my mood, helps regulate my sleep, and brings a sense of calm and joy to my day. Even a few minutes outside can help signal safety to the nervous system and support emotional regulation.
With daylight saving time, many people notice shifts in energy, sleep, and mood. Our bodies rely on natural light to regulate our internal clock (circadian rhythm), so sudden time changes can take time for the brain and body to adjust — both physiologically and emotionally.
If this season feels harder, you’re not alone. A few gentle supports:
☀️ get morning sunlight when possible
☀️ spend time outside daily
☀️ keep consistent sleep routines
☀️ give yourself extra rest during transitions
Small shifts in light exposure can make a meaningful difference.
Does getting outside in the sun help your mood? What’s your favorite way to spend time in the sun? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! ⬇️
