We’d like to recognize the creativity and dedication of our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Erica Ellerman. When one of our rehab patients expressed how much he missed playing pool with friends, Erica went above and beyond by crafting a custom pool table to help him feel more at home. 🎓 Graduation Day at CORE!
Meet Mary—a shining example of strength, perseverance, and self-advocacy.
After being told by a specialist that surgery was her only option and that “exercises wouldn’t help,” Mary chose to explore a different path first. She turned to the Women’s Health Physical Therapy team at Daviess Community Hospital’s CORE Center.
With just five focused therapy sessions over a few months—and her dedication to a personalized home exercise program—Mary made remarkable progress. Today, she’s officially graduated from physical therapy and no longer needs surgery!

For , we’re proud to celebrate Erica Ellermann, COTA, CSRS, who has been making a difference at Daviess Community Hospital for 17 years. With more than 25 years of experience in occupational therapy, Erica primarily works on our Acute Rehab Unit, helping patients regain their independence and safely return home after illness or injury.

She’s also a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist, nationally certified through NBCOT, and passionate about seeing people grow stronger and more self-sufficient every day.

Christina specializes in custom wheelchair assessments and mobility—ensuring patients receive the support they need to move with comfort and confidence. She’s been part of the CORE team since 2012 and brings a deep passion for helping others live fuller, more independent lives.
