Did you know today is National Gorgeous Grandma Day?? We celebrated at Charter Senior Living of Washington - in style! 💄✨

Our Executive Director, Laura, might not be a professional photographer, but she gave it her best shot to make our lovely ladies shine. With boas, glitzy glasses, flowers, pearls, and all things sparkly, our residents struck their best poses for our "Glam Gram" photo shoot – and let’s just say, the runway has nothing on them! 💃📸

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Chaos in the dining room! 🚨

Our Life Engagement Director decided it was the perfect day to bring out the Nerf guns… and let’s just say, the residents were ready. 😎

Laughter, foam darts, and a few sneak attacks from behind walkers made for a dining room battlefield we won’t forget anytime soon.

At Charter Senior Living of Washington , we take fun seriously—even if it means dodging Nerf darts between dessert and games. 💥💙

🎣 Catch of the Day: Released! 🎣

Our Dining Services Director, Marty, took our residents fishing today, but it was catch and release… which means he’s still not allowed to cook what they catch! 😂

Don’t worry, though—he’s sticking to cooking up the good stuff in our kitchen, and everyone came home with smiles (and fish stories bigger than the fish 🐟.)

Nothing like a summer morning by the water with good friends, fresh air, and the freedom to fish without ending up on the lunch menu!

💜 Douse for Dollars! 💦

Charter Senior Living of Washington had a chillingly good time raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association with our very own ice bucket challenge — Douse for Dollars!

Residents and team members bought pitchers of ice water to pour on our brave volunteers: Laura, Marty, John, and Sandy. It was cold, wet, and SO worth it for this important cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, participated, or cheered us on. Together, we’re making a difference one icy splash at a time!

🎩✨ Crazy Hats!! ✨🎩

Our residents let their creativity run wild for Spirit Week with Crazy Hat Day, and the results were nothing short of fabulous and fun! From towering feathers to twinkling lights, every hat had its own story — and a whole lot of personality. 🧢👒🎉

It was a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, crafting, and some truly outrageous headwear! We loved seeing our community come together to celebrate individuality and imagination. 💖

🖤🍻 Ink & Drinks at the Charter of Washington 🍻🖤

This afternoon, our residents went full badass — with fake tattoos and real booze (responsibly, of course 😉). From American muscle cars to butterfly sleeves, the ink was temporary but the laughs were permanent.

Shoutout to everyone who showed up, showed off their “tough side,” and proved that you don’t need a needle to rock some serious attitude. 🍷🎉

Next time: matching (real?) tats? Just kidding… maybe.

Our residents had a sweet time celebrating National Sundae Day with delicious banana splits and classic ice cream sundaes! From hot fudge to sprinkles, everyone enjoyed creating their perfect treat—and even more so, sharing laughs and good company. 😋🍒
